Act II Playhouse will present the Philadelphia-area premiere of the Broadway drama Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies, directed by Act II Producing Artistic Director Bud Martin.

Before a packed audience at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley and Managing Director Phil Santora of TheatreWorks, the nationally-acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, unveiled the line-up for its 2012-2013 season.

The next phase of Actors Theatre's fund-raising efforts will include a series of special events beginning with a concert featuring Dennis Rowland, Walt Richardson and their Friends, Monday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. on Stage West at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe. Bob Sorenson will be the Master of Ceremonies.

South Coast Repertory is reviving Donald Margulies' Sight Unseen, an SCR-commissioned play that had its world premiere here 20 seasons ago. It will run March 11- April 1 on the Julianne Argyros Stage.

Classic Stage Company has announced complete casting for their upcoming production of Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, which begins previews at CSC on Wednesday, April 4 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 20. Joining two-time Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth (Hippolyta/Titania) and acclaimed film/television/stage star Christina Ricci (Hermia) in the cast are Jordan Dean (Demetrius), Nick Gehlfuss (Lysander), David Greenspan (Flute/Fairy), Halley Wegryn Gross (Helena), Anthony Heald (Theseus/Oberon), Erin Hill (Starveling/Fairy), Chad Lindsey (Snout/Fairy), Taylor Mac (Egeus/Puck), James Patrick Nelson (Snug/Fairy), Steven Skybell (Bottom) and Rob Yang (Quince/Fairy). Vineyard Theatre and Naked Angels announce that its world-premiere co-production of Zayd Dohrn's play OUTSIDE PEOPLE will extend one week, with performances now set to conclude on Saturday, February 4 at The Vineyard (108 E. 15 St.)

Die Fotojournalistin Sarah Goodwin kehrt verwundet aus dem Irak in ihr Loft in Brooklyn zuruck. Ihre Verletzungen - ein Bein und einen Arm kann sie kaum bewegen und ihr Gesicht ist von Schrapnellnarben gezeichnet - sind noch nicht verheilt. Ihr Lebensgefahrte, James Dodd, selbst Journalist und Auslandskorrespondent, kummert sich fursorglich um sie. Doch hinter seiner Rolle als aufopfernder Partner, blitzt das schlechte Gewissen auf, denn er hat Sarah allein im Irak zuruckgelassen. Die beiden erwarten den gemeinsamen Freund und Sarahs Mentor, Richard, zu Besuch. Im Schlepptau hat dieser seine neue Freundin Mandy - blutjung, naiv und „scharf", wie James bald unverblumt bemerkt. Die Eventplanerin, von Natur aus „dauerbegeistert" und kindlich wohlwollend, wirkt neben den beiden zynischen und vom Leben schwer gezeichneten Journalisten vollig deplaziert, was ihr sehr wohl bewusst ist. Sarah, die vor etwa zwanzig Jahren als Praktikantin selbst eine Affare mit Richard hatte, ist vollig vor den Kopf gestoßen, und versucht dies in ihrem leicht reizbaren Zustand auch nicht wirklich zu verbergen. Doch Mandy bleibt nicht der einzige Reibepunkt an diesem Tag, schnell eskaliert das Treffen und lasst zahlreiche ungeloste Konflikte zum Vorschein treten.

A series of Talk Backs following performances of the Vineyard Theatre and Naked Angels' co-production of Zayd Dohrn's new play OUTSIDE PEOPLE -- playing now through January 29 at The Vineyard (108 E. 15 St.) -- have been scheduled starting Sunday, January 15.

David Mamet is a Pulitzer-Prize winning playwright, known for his own distinct style of dialogue aptly referred to as "Mamet speak". Mamet also directed the Broadway production of Race, which premiered December 2009 starring James Spader, David Alan Grier, Kerry Washington, and Richard Thomas. Gulfshore Playhouse first hit the Naples scene with a production of David Mamet's Oleanna in 2006.

Following Ruhl's In the Next Room (or the Vibrator Play) last season, Actors Theatre brings Dead Man's Cell Phone to Stage West at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe, from Feb. 24 through March 11.
