Paul Collins is a guy who's been around the block. He was one of the progenitors of the early power-pop movement in the '70s in not one, but three influential bands of that era - The Nerves, The Breakaways and The Beat (the latter even appearing on Dick Clark's American Bandstand back in the day).

The finale of ABC's "Rising Star" was up for the 2nd week in a row in Adults 18-49 (+13% - 0.9/3 vs. 0.8/2) and drew its biggest overall audience in 3 weeks (3.2 million) - since 8/3/14. The ABC unscripted series shot up from its first half-hour to its second half-hour by 25% among young adults (0.8/2 to 1.0/3).

In addition, each of the Top Eight performances will feature a Michael Jackson song, either one of his classics or from his current album, “Xscape.”
