Second Stage Theatre's New York Premiere production of NOTES FROM THE FIELD: DOING TIME IN EDUCATION, the latest work created, written and performed by groundbreaking theatre artist Anna Deavere Smith with music composed and performed by Marcus Shelby and directed by Leonard Foglia, opened just last night, November 2, 2016 at the Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd Street).

The producers of the Broadway hit Waitress have announced that Charity Angel Dawson will take on the role of Becky beginning October 20. Charity has been part of the Waitress cast since the production premiered at the A.R.T. in Cambridge, where she originated the role of Nurse Norma.

Tony Award-winning star of stage and screen, Patina Miller (CBS' 'Madam Secretary,' PBS' 'Mercy Street,' 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay,' Pippin on Broadway), will bring An Evening with Patina to Feinstein's at the Nikko for two performances only - Today, October 15 (7 p.m.) and Sunday, October 16 (3 p.m.)

Local Theater Company, under the artistic leadership of Pesha Rudnick, kicks off its fifth season of presenting new works in Boulder, Colorado, with the world premiere of The Firestorm by Meridith Friedman. Set during a heated political season, the production begins previews at the new Dairy Arts Center today, October 13. Opening night is set for Sunday, October 16. The producers of the Broadway hit Waitress announced today that Caitlin Houlahan will make her Broadway debut when she takes over the role of Dawn on October 20.

World-famous clowning duo the Acrobuffos are heading to Melbourne this summer to take audiences on an epic comic adventure filled with breathtaking air sculptures and laugh-out-loud physical comedy. In an Australian premiere exclusive to Melbourne, Seth Bloom and Christina Gelsone will perform Air Play from 18 - 22 January at Arts Centre Melbourne's State Theatre.

Due to the success of Waitress's recent and first-ever 'Cast Album Karaoke,' following this evening's performance at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street), audience members will have another chance to sing on a Broadway stage.
