Chay Yew's frank drama, Question 27, Question 28 will be presented by Artists at Play and the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the signing of Executive Order 9066. The East West Players' West Coast premiere of playwright Leah Nanako Winkler's KENTUCKY stuns and enthralls with its highly dramatic, polarizing emotions emoted by its almost perfect cast. Winkler has written a most involving piece of theatre that walks a razor-thin tightrope between knee-slapping comedy and heartstring-tugging drama. Very nice!

East West Players (EWP), the nation's longest-running professional theatre of color in the country and the largest producing organization of Asian American artistic work, is pleased to announce the cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of Kentucky, which the The New York Times has praised as "…the full-length debut of a distinctive new voice - mouthy, sly and bourbon sweet, with the expected kick."Written by Leah Nanako Winkler and directed by Deena Selenow, Kentucky begins performances on November 10 and runs until December 11, 2016, with opening night on November 16.

Sundance Institute today announced the acting company and creative advisors for the eight projects being developed at its 2012 Theatre Lab, July 9-29 at the Sundance Resort. Under the supervision of Philip Himberg, Producing Artistic Director, and Associate Director Christopher Hibma, the Lab is the centerpiece of the Theatre Program's year-round work and is designed to support emerging and established artists and to create a place where their original work can be effectively mentored and challenged.

With direction and musical staging by Pan Asian Rep's Artistic Director, Tisa Chang, The Joy Luck Club runs through November 25 at the Julia Miles Theatre (424 W. 55th Street between 9th & 10th Aves). Opening night is Wednesday, November 7 at 7PM.
