The Ross Valley Players presents NOVEMBER by David Mamet. President Charles 'Chucky' Smith is nearing the end of his first term and dealing with the unfavorable prospects that he will be elected for a second term in David Mamet's 'November' - a political comedy about bad behavior in high places.

RACE, 'the topical detective story' (New York Times) that 'sizzles with energy' (The Wall Street Journal), written and directed by David Mamet is closing Saturday, August 21st at 8:00 pm (reaching its 297th performance).

The Mandalay Bay Events Center at Mandalay Bay will present Lilith Fair on Friday, July 9. It has been nearly 11 years since the last tour and Lilith is back. The tour will feature a rotating list of more than 80 eclectic and notable female acts. Much like the original Lilith Fair, there will be 11 artists on each date with only two consistencies per show - the Lilith Local Talent Search ourstage.com winner, who will kick off the show, and headliner Sarah McLachlan. American Theater Company (ATC) opens its 26th season with David Mamet's Oleanna and Speed-the-Plow in repertory for the first time ever. The productions are directed by Steppenwolf ensemble member Rick Snyder and will run at American Theater Company, 1909 W Byron St, Chicago. San Jose Repertory Theatre is proud to present the cast of the West Coast Premiere of the musical drama: Black Pearl Sings! Jannie Jones, in the title role, will belt out soul-stirring spirituals and African American folk songs, including 'Kum Ba Yah,' 'Little Sally Walker,' 'This Little Light of Mine,' and 'The Wabash Cannonball,' while Jessica Wortham plays Susanna Mullally, a song collector for the Library of Congress who travels the country seeking little-known melodies. Music unites the strangers in a powerful story that illuminates America's racial divisions and the attempts of the two women to bridge them. Juilliard's Drama Division announced the complete schedule for its 2010-2011 season of fully-staged productions featuring students in their fourth and final year of acting training at Juilliard. This season's plays include Lorraine Hansberry's A RAISIN IN THE SUN, directed by Jade King Carroll, October 20-24; David Auburn's PROOF, directed by Harris Yulin, November 11-15; and Chekhov's THE SEAGULL, directed by Richard Feldman, December 9-13.
