Village Originals has announced the official selections for the 9th Annual Festival of New Musicals taking place August 13-16, 2009 at the Francis J. Gaudette Theatre in Issaquah. This is an invitation only event, not open to the public.

Comedian Mike Birbiglia hits the road this summer with his 'COMEDY CENTRAL Live Starring Mike Birbiglia: I'm in the Future Also' Tour. The nationwide stand-up tour featuring Birbiglia's captivating storytelling-style of stand-up kicks off in August with sponsor Smirnoff Ice and travels to more than 20 cities, with additional shows to be announced.

The Colony Theatre Company presents the second production of its 35th anniversary season, VISITING MR. GREEN, written by Jeff Baron and directed by David Rose. VISITING MR. GREEN will preview on Wednesday, August 26; Thursday, August 27 and Friday, August 28 at 8:00pm and will open on Saturday, August 29 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, September 27 at The Colony Theatre, 555 North Third Street (at Cypress) adjacent to the Burbank Town Center.

After charity shows in Los Angeles and New York and an appearance at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry, Steve Martin will be hitting the road in support of The Crow: New Songs for the Five-String Banjo, which currently sits at the top of the Billboard Bluegrass Album Chart. Martin will perform with the Steep Canyon Rangers in Charlotte on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 8pm in the Knight Theater.
