RIALTO CHATTER: Arena Stage's OKLAHOMA! Headed to Broadway in 2011?

As Arena Stage begins a new life in its renovated home at the Mead Center for American Theater in Southwest D.C., it opens its inaugural season with a classic American musical that similarly embraces life on a new frontier. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! is the first production at the Mead Center and features an all-star cast under the direction of Artistic Director Molly Smith. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! runs October 22-December 26, 2010 in the Fichandler Stage.

RAIN - A Tribute to The Beatles On Broadway was extended by popular demand and will now run through Sunday, January 9 at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street). Previews began Tuesday, October 19 with the official opening scheduled for tonight October 26 at 6:30 PM.

As BroadwayWorld previously announced, RAIN - A Tribute to The Beatles On Broadway will play a limited 11-week engagement this fall at the Neil Simon Theatre. Previews begin Tuesday, October 19 with the official opening scheduled for Tuesday, October 26 at 6:30 PM. The engagement will run through Sunday, January 2, 2011. BroadwayWorld recently caught up with RAIN cast members Joey Curatolo ('Paul McCartney') and Steve Landes ('John Lennon') during their whirlwind visit to New York City, and followed the pair as they stopped by their to-be home at the Neil Simon Theatre, the Ed Sullivan Theatre where the Beatles were 'born,' and - of course - a classic Times Square deli. RAIN: A Tribute To the Beatles will now be seen for five performances only at San Diego CIVIC THEATRE: on FRIDAY MAY 14 at 8PM; SATURDAY, MAY 15 at 2PM & 8PM, and SUNDAY MAY 16 at 1PM & 6PM. On March 31 at 7:00pm, Aurora Theatre will host a book signing by three authors who have written three very different books. All are exceptional writers and most importantly, all the authors are local. The event was originally conceived by one of Gwinnett's most prominent citizens and one of the authors. Elliott Brack has put together the comprehensive resource on local history called Gwinnett A Little Above Atlanta. The other homegrown talents are Tom Stratton who's Sea Birds, When Sea Birds Fly To Land is a beautifully crafted story set in the Virgin Islands, and David Leon Brown is a modern-day Nostradamus.
