Tonight, February 4, 2016 at 7:30pm, Bang on a Can and the Jewish Museum will present Bang on a Can: Unorthodox, a concert featuring the acclaimed Mivos Quartet that will celebrate composers who defy conventional forms and genres.

Tippet Rise Art Center, a new cultural destination dedicated to a uniquely resonant experience of classical music and contemporary sculpture under the big sky of Montana's Beartooth Mountains, today announced the schedule for its inaugural concert season, June 17 - August 21, 2016.

Carnegie Hall today unveiled its 2016-2017 season consisting of more than 170 concerts as well as wide-ranging education and community programs created by Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute. The upcoming season includes performances by many of the world's greatest artists, including Tony winner Kelli O'Hara making her solo headlining debut at the renowned venue on Oct. 29, as well as ensembles representing classical, pop, jazz, and world music, with events presented on Carnegie Hall's three stages, in the Hall's Resnick Education Wing, and throughout New York City.

In its tenth anniversary season, THE CROSSING - the extraordinary chamber choir from Philadelphia, dedicated to new music and conducted by Donald Nally - comes to New York tonight, January 23, 2016 to perform the NY premiere of THE FIFTH CENTURY, a large-scale work for the rare combination of choir and saxophone quartet by the iconic avant-garde English composer GAVIN BRYARS. The event, which will also feature the great sax quartet PRISM and will have Bryars in the audience, takes place at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Chapel at Trinity Church, Wall Street.

On Friday, February 12 at 9:00 p.m. in Zankel Hall, Carnegie Hall presents the innovative ensemble S? Percussion in a program of new collaborative works by composers Glenn Kotche, Steven Mackey, and Shara Worden. With Glenn Kotche, percussionist for the Chicago-based rock band Wilco, S? performs the world premiere of Kotche's Migrations as well as his Drumkit Quartets, a work in the ensemble's repertoire since 2011, set to be released by Cantaloupe Records on February 27. Vocalist/composer Shara Worden is featured in her recent work written with S? Percussion, Timeline, heard here in its New York premiere. S? and Worden will also perform the New York premiere of Steven Mackey's Before It Is Time.

Nigel Redden, Director of Lincoln Center Festival, today announced the line-up for the Festival, which runs from July 13-31, 2016. Artists and ensembles from seven countries, many of them making their Lincoln Center Festival debuts, will gather for the festival, now celebrating its 20th anniversary, and which continues its mission of presenting the finest classical and contemporary arts from around the world.  An array of 49 dance, music, and theater performances will animate seven venues on and off the Lincoln Center campus.

Saint Paul, MN -- Liquid Music joins forces with pioneering organizations MASS MoCA, Baryshnikov Arts Center and Indianapolis Museum of Art in commissioning and presenting Holographic, a new album and performance series created by Paris-born, Los Angeles-based composer Daniel Wohl, premiering in New York City January 21 & 22 and arriving in Saint Paul on Thursday, February 11.

Music Director Joana Carneiro, Berkeley Symphony and composer and pianist Conrad Tao perform Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, “Emperor,” together onThursday, February 4 at 8 pm at Zellerbach Hall in Berkeley. Daniel Fish, the innovative director of theater, opera, and film, collaborates with designer Jim Findlay to create WHO LEFT THIS FORK HERE, a new interdisciplinary work inspired by the psychological and emotional themes of aging and mortality in Anton Chekhov's The Three Sisters.
