Arizona Theatre Company announces its 46th Season as Arizona's leading professional theatre by producing six plays in 2012-2013 in Tucson and Phoenix. Audiences will experience six mainstage productions. The coming season, announced by Artistic Director David Ira Goldstein in his 21st season with ATC, promises award-winning recent Broadway hits in brand-new ATC productions.

Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of The Suicide Club by Jeffrey Hatcher, which received its acclaimed world premiere at Arizona Theatre Company last fall has been nominated for an Edgar Award in the category Best Play. Each spring, Mystery Writers of America presents the Edgar Awards, widely acknowledged to be the most prestigious awards in the genre.

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, presents Ten Chimneys by Jeffrey Hatcher, directed by Artistic Director BJ Jones. The production runsMarch 9 - April 15, 2012 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd. The press opening is on Friday, March 16, 2012.

Arizona Theatre Company announced today that the Board of Trustees has appointed Mark Cole as the new Managing Director. Cole was formerly the General Manager of Miami City Ballet which performs in four cities in South Florida. A veteran of both the theatre and ballet world, he will begin full time duties on August 15, 2011. He succeeds Interim Managing Director Jessica L. Andrews, who has been filling the position since former Managing Director Kevin Moore left in October 2010 after 10 years with ATC.

Directed by David Ira Goldstein, artistic director of Arizona Theatre Company, where Ten Chimneys had its recent World Premiere, the play is by Jeffrey Hatcher (Tuesdays with Morrie, Murder by Poe). It's 1927 and Ma Rainey, the Mother of the Blues, strides into a rundown Chicago recording studio to join a battling quartet of musicians. The great playwright August Wilson places this formidable artist at the center of a captivating drama of flamboyant personalities, professional jealousy, and shattered dreams. Directed by Lou Bellamy, MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM plays in Tucson at the Temple of Music and Art from October 16 through November 6.
