Performances of the new Off-Broadway musical Atomic begin tomorrow, Thursday, June 26 at 7pm at the Acorn Theatre/Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Please note, in celebration of Independence Day, there will be a limited number of $17.76 tickets available for the special 2pm performance on Friday, July 4.

Cirque du Soleil's MICHAEL JACKSON ONE to Begin Sunday Matinees, 6/29

Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil at Mandalay Bay will offer Sunday matinee performances at 4:30pm beginning June 29 through the remainder of the year. Randy Harrison Replaces Preston Sadleir in New Off-Broadway Musical ATOMIC

Producers of the upcoming U.S. premiere of the new musical Atomic announced today that Randy Harrison (Showtime's "Queer as Folk") has joined the cast, replacing Preston Sadleir, who will appear in the upcoming revival of Titanic. The other members of the Atomic cast are David Abeles, Alexis Fishman, Sara Gettelfinger, Jonathan Hammond, Jeremy Kushnier, James David Larson, Euan Morton and Grace Stockdale.

This summer, after a wildly successful engagement in Sydney, Australia, Atomic, the exhilarating and provocative new musical based on the creation of the atomic bomb, will make its highly anticipated U.S. premiere with a strictly limited 8-week Off-Broadway engagement from June 26 - August 16 at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues). The official opening is set for Sunday, July 13. Strange things are afoot in the deep darkness of the woods when humans, wood nymphs, water sprites, goblins, witches, and other creatures intermingle - knowingly or otherwise. Lyric Opera of Chicago presents Antonin Dvorák's Rusalka, the famed Czech composer's darkly sensual fairy tale, which makes its eagerly anticipated company premiere in a new production opening on Saturday, February 22, with six performances through Sunday, March 16. Performance dates are February 22, 26, March 4, 7, and 10, all at 7:30pm, with a matinee on March 16 at 2pm.

Minnesota Opera Announces Updates to 2013-14 Season

Minnesota Opera is pleased to announce casting updates for the 2013–2014 season, which boasts three company premieres and five productions new to Minnesota audiences. Based on anticipated demand, the boundary-busting production of The Magic Flutewill receive nine performances. Other season highlights include James Valenti starring in the premiere of a revised The Dream of Valentino by Dominick Argento as part of Minnesota Opera's New Works Initiative; Kelly Kaduce in an opulent production of Puccini's soulful Manon Lescaut; Jacquelyn Wagner, Elizabeth Futral, Brian Jagde and Craig Irvin in a stylish production of Strauss' romantic comedy, Arabella; and Verdi's chilling take on the Shakespearean thriller, Macbeth, starring Brenda Harris and Greer Grimsley. Minnesota Opera is also pleased to announce the roster for the 2013–2014 Resident Artist Program, as well as unveil a new website.
