Theatre for a New Audience's production of William Shakespeare's Pericles directed by Trevor Nunn, featuring OBIE Award-winner Christian Camargo in the title role and leading a diverse company of 22 actors, Jeffrey Horowitz, opens tonight, February 25, for a run through March 27, 2016.

The Huntington Theatre Company's production of A Confederacy of Dunces became the highest-grossing show in the company's 33-year history, and according to the Daily News, it might be heading to Broadway next. AN insider revealed: 'The creatives will be fine-tuning the production and hoping for a run either in London or another U.S. city before Broadway next season.'

Rehearsals begin today (Monday, January 4) for Theatre for a New Audience's production of William Shakespeare's Pericles directed by Trevor Nunn, featuring OBIE Award-winner Christian Camargo in the title role and leading a diverse company of 22 actors, Jeffrey Horowitz, Theatre for a New Audience Founding Artistic Director, announced. 

The Huntington Theatre Company's production of A Confederacy of Dunces became the highest-grossing show in the company's 33-year history, grossing over $2,120,000 during its 45-performance run from November 11 - December 20, 2015. 

Jeffrey Hatcher's stage adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel A CONFERERACY OF DUNCES, now in its world premiere at the Huntington Theatre Company in Boston, feels like a lost opportunity. Much like its obnoxious and oversized central character Ignatius J. Reilly, a slovenly, unemployed 30-year-old still living with and supported by his sweetly doting mother, the play is a lumbering behemoth that is often equal parts boring and boorish.

Theatre for a New Audience, Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director, will present William Shakespeare's Pericles directed by Trevor Nunn, featuring OBIE Award-winner Christian Camargo in the title role and leading a diverse company of twenty-two actors. Pericles marks Mr. Camargo's third Shakespeare title role for Theatre for a New Audience, and the first time not only that Trevor Nunn has directed this play, but the first time he has directed a Shakespeare with a U.S. company.  The production begins previews February 14 and opens February 25 for a scheduled run through March 27 at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place.

On Tuesday, the Huntington Theatre Company's production of A CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES became the second highest-grossing show in the company's 33-year history, behind their 2013 hit production of THE JUNGLE BOOK.

Erma Bombeck, the award-winning humorist and syndicated columnist known for her wry and humorous take on family life, is the subject of the newest project from twin-sister journalists and playwrights Allison Engel and Margaret Engel -- the world-premiere drama ERMA BOMBECK: AT WIT'S END debuting at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater. The Engels reunite with director David Esbjornson (Arena Stage's Guess Who's Coming to Dinner) following their collaboration on the smash hit Red Hot Patriot: The Kick-Ass Wit of Molly Ivins, which starred Kathleen Turner in its celebrated 2012 run at Arena Stage. Seattle Repertory Theatre's Board of Trustees announced today that Braden Abraham has been appointed as the official artistic head of Seattle Repertory Theatre, effective immediately.

Due to popular demand, the Huntington Theatre Company announces the addition of one week of performances to its run of the world premiere production of A Confederacy of Dunces. The show will now play through December 20, 2015 at the Boston University Theatre. Previews begin Wednesday, November 11; Opening Night is Wednesday, November 18. A new block of tickets are now on sale.

Christian Camargo, who has played Coriolanus and Hamlet for Theatre for a New Audience, will take on another Shakespearean title role as Pericles in a new production directed by Trevor Nunn with music written by Irish composer Shaun Davey, the Theatre's Founding Artistic Director Jeffrey Horowitz announced.
