ArtistWorks, the leading provider of interactive online music education, has announced the latest addition to their extensive online music faculty: Jazz Guitar with Dave Stryker. After a number of exceptionally successful years offering Jazz Guitar lessons with the late Chuck Loeb, ArtistWorks is excited to announce its newest online Jazz Guitar lessons with Dave Stryker.

Performing music from Duke Ellington, Monk, Jobim, Mingus,Toninho Horta, Stanley Turrentine, Noel Rosa and much more music from the American and Brazilian song book.

Bill Warfield's career as a trumpeter was launched the moment he heard Lew Soloff's immortal solo on the Blood, Sweat & Tears hit 'Spinning Wheel.' 'It just completely knocked me out,' says Warfield, who was 18 at the time and gigging as a pianist, having given up hope of earning a living as a horn player due to dental problems. 'I'd never heard anything like it. I decided at that point that I wanted to play the trumpet again.'

Project Winner, 2015 second runner-up in the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition and the 2014 Herb Albert ASCAP Young Composer Awards Winner. She's also the Peoples Choice and Johnny Mercer Award winner in the National American Traditions Vocal Competition. Nicole has headlined the Blue Note (NYC) and maintains residencies at the 55 Bar (every second Thursday of the month), Rockwood Music Hall (with the Dan Pugach Nonet), and Redeye Grill. Audiences love Nicole's limitless enthusiasm, but that's only part of her story; only part of her talent.

Pianist Ben Rosenblum will perform music from his debut release Instead alongside a veteran rhythm section of jazz masters, including Curtis Lundy (Grammy-nominated bassist famous for his work with Betty Carter) and Billy Hart (legendary drummer with Miles Davis, McCoy Tyner and Herbie Hancock) at Mezzrow (163 West 10th Street) on Sunday, May 21.  

Pianist Ben Rosenblum will present unique solo piano programs each Tuesday in April at The Kitano, (66 Park Ave, no cover, $15 min food/drink charge), including: selected standards and originals (April 4), selections from unusual inspirations/sources (April 11); special guests (April 18); and selections from his debut album (April 25).  Ben's music has earned numerous awards, including the ASCAP Young Jazz Composers Award and several Downbeat Student Music Awards (best original composition and best original arrangement), and has been described as "mature beyond his years." Birdland will kick-off March's programming with the following acts:

The Morris Museum launches its fall 2015 season of Adult Programs with an engaging array of concerts, lectures and films. The September and October line-up includes a film screening and discussion of the PBS documentary 'Latino Americans: 500 Years of History' on September 26 and October 3, a Guinness Collection Piano Concert on September 27, and a jazz concert by the Beacon Hill All-Stars on October 5. Also on the schedule is a Latino Cultural Day on October 10, a lecture on Gustav Stickley on October 14, and a performance by the Rondi Charleston Jazz Band on October 19.

Accomplished jazz clarinetist and tenorman, Frank Griffith travels from England to Lancaster to perform two unique concerts tonight, April 17 and Saturday, April 18. His performance on April 17 is promised to wrap up the Ware Center's season of the Jazz in the Sky performances on a high note. The concert begins at 7:30 pm at the Ware Center located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster. On Saturday, April 18 at 7:30 pm, Frank Griffith will join the 10th Annual Single Reed Symposium and finish the evening as a guest artist in the Jazz & Java concert on campus at Gordinier Hall located at 40 S. George Street, Millersville.

59E59 Theaters will welcome Peter and Will Anderson with THE JOY OF SAX, featuring Pat Bianchi on the Hammond B-3 Organ. Produced by Reardon-Anderson Music, LLC., THE JOY OF SAX begins performances on Tuesday, April 28 for a limited engagement through Thursday, May 7.
