The Town Hall, New York City's landmark theatre and concert venue (123 West 43rd Street) honors two influential individuals: Dr. Charlotte K Frank, Senior Vice President of McGraw Hill and Chair of the Town Hall Arts and Education Committee, and Marvin Leffler, in recognition of 34 years as President of The Town Hall. They will receive The Town Hall's 'Friend of the Arts' Award tonight, October 21st, 2012.

MUSICIANS ON CALL-the non-profit organization that provides live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities-has gathered 20 exclusive 'VIP Experiences' from some of the top names in music and entertainment . Funds raised from all of the auctions-which run from September 27-October 18-will provide support for Musicians On Call's inaugural program at Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA Medical Center and expand its new Los Angeles branch to include additional programs, increasing the number of patients and hospitals served nationwide.
First Howard Gilman Fellow David Parsons of Parsons Dance Receives MFA from Jacksonville University

This summer, David Parsons was awarded a Master of Fine Arts from Jacksonville University. Mr. Parsons was the first recipient of the Howard Gilman Fellowship to attend the MFA program at the university. This full tuition fellowship is given to one MFA candidate each year. One of the missions of the Howard Gilman Foundation at White Oak is to nurture the artist in development. The MFA at JU nurtures the development of rigorous and refined relationships between three aspects of creative production: stimulus, practice, and analysis.

With two PBS concert specials and a new self-titled Disney Pearl debut album, Nathan Pacheco is headlining a North American tour, which will stop in Chicago at the Harris Theatre for Music and Dance at Millennium Park (205 East Randolph Street) Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 7 p.m. The PBS special, "Introducing Nathan Pacheco: Live in Concert" airs today, August 23, 2012 on WTTW in Chicago.
