Stoopid Daddy Records will present An Evening of Swing, Stride and Boogie Woogie Piano tonight, October 19, 2012, 9 PM in association with the 12 Grapes Restaurant, 12 North Division St., Peekskill NY. The talents of 5 New York-based pianists will be featured: Dave Keyes, Jon Cobert, Scott Staton, Loren Korevec and Chase Garrett. Also featured will be 5 guest vocalists: The Blues Buddha, Duchess Di, Curtis Winchester, Susan McMahon and a rare NY performance by Denny Leroux.

Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 14, goes on sale Friday, October 19 with the voices of major talents, including Ricky Martin, Chita Rivera, Cyndi Lauper and more.

Today we are talking to one of Broadway's biggest homegrown stars who has appeared in the original New York productions of many memorable modern-day classics, among them THE WHO'S TOMMY, AIDA, THE LAST FIVE YEARS and DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, in additions to highly-regarded turns in the first replacement cast of RENT, the Tommy Tune/Jeff Calhoun revival of GREASE, the Off-Broadway curiosity DEBBIE DOES DALLAS, the first (and only) LA mounting of Randy Newman's FAUST, as well as her starring role in the recent Lincoln Center Theater's production of WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, and, of course, her own rapturously-received, award-winning solo showpiece, EVERYDAY RAPTURE - the convivially mesmerizing, one-of-a-kind Sherie Rene Scott. Discussing the major transitions in her life, including her transformation from ingenue to leading lady to solo performer, Scott illustrates a unique and varied career as well as opens up about the themes, songs, stories, experiences and encounters that formed the basis for her new solo piece premiering at 54 Below this week, PIECE OF MEAT. Additionally, Scott touches upon her work as the co-owner of the revolutionary Sh-K-Boom Records with her husband, Kurt Deutsch, as well as her own album work over the years, in addition to stories related to the recording of many of their most celebrated titles and the composers whose work is prominently featured on their releases - Tom Kitt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Michael John LaChiusa and many more included. All of that, plus Mennonites, music and meat - and much, much more!

On Tuesday, October 2nd at 9 am EDT, a limited number of tickets will go on sale at littlekidsrock.org/tickets for the Right to Rock Celebration - a charity benefit for Little Kids Rock that will feature performances of Steven Van Zandt's music by an epic lineup including Elvis Costello, Dion DiMucci, Tom Morello, Darlene Love, Southside Johnny, Kris Allen, Ruben Blades, Gary U.S. Bonds, Michael Des Barres, Michael Johns, Jesse Malin, Jake Clemons, NYC Hit Squad and other surprise guests expected to attend. Actress Maureen Van Zandt and E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg will co-chair the event, which is sponsored by the House of Marley and 1Love and will take place on Tuesday, October 16th, in New York City at the Manhattan Center Grand Ballroom.

Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton added his voice to the 2012 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 14, singing an original song called 'A Perez Hilton Christmas,' with music by Lynn Pinto & Jason Michael Webb, and lyrics by George Howe & Frances Limoncelli. Perez Hilton is making his New York stage debut in the comical off-Broadway revue "NEWSical the Musical."

Before Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band finish the second U.S. leg of its world tour, many of its members will attend Little Kids Rock's 10th anniversary Right to Rock Celebration, sponsored by the House of Marley and 1Love. On October 16th in New York city Steven Van Zandt will be presented with the 'Big Man of The Year Award,' given annually to honor the legacy of the late, great Clarence Clemons. Van Zandt joins past honorees Lady Gaga and The Big Man himself. The event is being co-chaired by actress Maureen Van Zandt and E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg.
