The fiery finale sets one of the most famous of Lutheran hymns, "Durch Adams Fall," to music. The radiant and richly expressive Cantata 147, "Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben," features what has become some of Bach's most famous music (known colloquially as "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring"). eweddle@cantatasingers.org (more...)
