Deadline.com reports that Tony-, Emmy-, and Grammy-winner Cynthia Nixon ('Sex and the City,' RABBIT HOLE) has joined the cast of Showtime's 'The Big C' in a recurring role. There is no word on whether or not this will affect her chances of starring in a West End production of AS BEES IN HONEY DROWN, as was rumored and reported by BroadwayWorld earlier this month.

The 2010 Summer Gala will honor Lincoln Center Theater Executive Producer and former Public Theater Associate Producer Bernard Gersten and Bank of America. The Gala will be held on Monday, June 21 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park and will include a dinner under the stars, a performance of The Merchant of Venice featuring Al Pacino as Shylock and a party afterward at the Belvedere Castle.

Shows run Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays, June 20th and 27th at 6 p.m. There will be a post performance discussion following the show on Sunday June 20th at the KANEKO-UNO Library. Cynthia Nixon is in talks to star in AS BEES IN HONEY DROWN in the West End, imdb.com reports today, which is scheduled to open in London in July, 2010. Nixon appeared in the original 1997 New York production of the play.
