Now you can ride your bike to the theater and not worry about locking it outside. In fact, you can keep your eye on it during the show. It'll be parked onstage and made part of the set if you go to 'Bell of the Ball Bearings,' presented by Theater for the New City. ORIGINALLY JUNE 4 TO 21, ADDED SHOWS: JUNE 25 AND 27 AT 8:00 PM

Theater For The New City (Crystal Field, Executive Artistic Director) will present the initial performances of Out Of Whack: The All-Kids Rock Musical Workshop on Sunday, June 14; Monday, June 15; Tuesday, June 16, and Wednesday, June 17 at 8:00 PM. TNC is located at 155 First Avenue and 10th Street in NYC's East Village.

THE 14th ANNUAL LOWER EAST SIDE (LES) FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS will bring together under one roof in just three days over 100 performing arts organizations, local and international celebrities, independent artists, poets, puppeteers, film makers and many others -- all of whom reside, work or have their roots in the culturally diverse, willfully anarchistic Lower East Side -- for New York City's most diverse FREE 3-day festival, from Friday, May 22 through Sunday, May 24, at Theater for the New City (155 1st Avenue, between E. 9th and 10th Sts.) in Manhattan.

Scratch Night started in the United Kingdom in 2000 as a way to show work in progress in an evolution of performances. At TNC, we will put our own spin on the idea to best serve our own theatre community and New York area audiences.

Theater for the New City presents the premiere of Walking from Rumania, a journey to freedom in 1899, by award-winning playwright Barbara Kahn Theater for the New City, Crystal Field, Executive Artistic Director, proudly announces the world premiere production of Walking from Rumania, a historical drama written and directed by Barbara Kahn.

Curated by Michael Scott-Price, TNC Literary Manager, NEW CITY , NEW BLOOD will provide a hearing for worthy plays in earlier stages of Development. Audiences will get the opportunity to provide feedback, and artists will gain valuable insight from audience response.
