Voting has opened for the 2015 BroadwayWorld Charlotte Regional Awards! Check out the latest live stats as of November 27th. Nominations were reader-submitted and after the nomination period ended, BroadwayWorld's local editors proofed the list for eligibility and errors. Voting runs through December 31.

The Tony Awards and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) have announced Corey Mitchell, Theater Arts Teacher at the Northwest School of the Arts in Charlotte, N.C., as the winner of the inaugural Excellence in Theatre Education Award. This year's finalists were Marianne Adams, Director of Education at the Grandstreet Theatre School in Helena, Mont., and Donald Hicken, Theatre Department Director at the Baltimore School for the Arts in Baltimore, Md.

CPCC Theatre will present August Wilson Pulitzer Prize winning drama Fences on Friday April 12 & 19 at 8:00pm, Saturday April 13 & 21 at 8:00pm ,Sunday April 14 & 21 at 2:30pm and Thursday April 18 at 7:30pm in Pease Auditorium on the college's central campus. Tickets are $16.00 for regular audience/ $5.00 for CPCC students, faculty and staff. Northwest School Of Arts Performs AIDA 3/20-3/22

Students from Northwest School of the Arts will perform Aida March 20-22 at the Booth Playhouse in the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. There are shows scheduled nightly Friday and Saturday (March 20-21) at 7:30 p.m. and afternoon matinees on Saturday and Sunday (Mar. 21-22) at 2 p.m. Tickets for the NWSA production of Aida are $15 and can be purchased through the Center's box office by phone at 704.372.1000 or via the internet at www.BlumenthalCenter.org.
