Rebecca Lazier and Newspeak's COMING TOGETHER/ATTICA Set for Invisible Dog, 6/13-15

On Thursday, June 13 (7 + 9 pm) at The Invisible Dog in Brooklyn, choreographer Rebecca Lazier and indie-classical ensemble Newspeak present the first US performances of Coming Together/Attica, a site-specific setting of Frederic Rzewski's iconic minimalist scores written following the 1971 prison riots in upstate New York. Lazier's dancers are Rashaun Mitchell and Silas Riener (formerly of Merce Cunningham Dance Company); Asli Bulbul, most recently from Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company; Jennifer Lafferty, who is featured in the work of Beth Gill and Yasuko Yokoshi; Pierre Guilbault; and Christopher Ralph.

The Brooklyn Philharmonic presents its 2013 OUTSIDE-IN Chamber Concert on Wednesday, May 1 at 8:00PM at Galapagos Art Space in DUMBO, Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Phil Chamber Players will premiere brand new string quartets from this season's Outside-In Fellows, all Brooklyn residents: Jesse Krakow, Toshi Reagon and Hadi Eldebek. The program also features a new work about life in Nepal created by resident Composer-Mentor Randall Woolf with a film by Mary Harron and John C. Walsh of Ruby Nation Films, Inc., for Brooklyn Phil concertmaster Deborah Buck.

Coming up in its 2012-2013 producing Season, HERE proudly presents A Marriage: 1 (Suburbia), created and performed by HERE Resident Artists Nick Vaughan and Jake Margolin. This premiere marks the culmination of a residency in the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP). A Marriage: 1 (Suburbia) takes over HERE (145 Sixth Avenue) from April 23 - May 4, as this immersive interdisciplinary installation fills every space within the building.

David T. Little's SOLDIER SONGS Gets Digital Release Today

On Tuesday, February 26, the debut recording of David T. Little's 'sharp, elegantly bristling' opera-theatre piece, Soldier Songs (2006), which recently completed a wildly successful NYC premiere run on the inaugural PROTOTYPE festival, is released on audio CD from Innova Recordings, produced by Lawson White. The recording receives its digital release on iTunes and Amazon today, February 5, 2013.

In a chance encounter with a traveling magician, they locate their enemy and conjure the violent forces of nature through sex-magic to take revenge.'
