Scott Christian, Colleen Dauncey, Akiva Romer-Segal and Kevin Wong are behind some of the biggest hits recently presented at the Fringe, SummerWorks and Next Stage festivals. Toronto theatre-fans had a real treat last night when Rebecca Caine, the original Christine in Toronto's record-setting run of The Phantom of the Opera (1989-1999), visited SINGular Sensation at Statlers (487 Church St.) to perform a few songs and take in the local talent. Caine is also known for originating the role of Cosette in Les Miserables, as well as her many opera credits. Caine is also the winner for the 2014 BroadwayWorld Toronto Award for Best Cabaret Performance or Solo Concert.

Final casting has been announced for BLAME CANADA!, an evening featuring the best in Canadian musical theatre happening at 54 BELOW on Monday, March 17 at 9:30pm. Cliff Saunders, who currently stars as Thenardier in the revival of Les Miserables on Broadway, hosts the evening that celebrates the launch of the newly formed Canadian Musical Theatre Writers Collective (CMTWC).
