Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director / Melissa Huber, Managing Director) presents its annual gala evening, Make Our Garden Grow, in the Harbor View Room at Battery Gardens, a beautiful and unique waterside location nestled at the southern most corner of Battery Park, on Monday, June 27, 2011 from 6pm - 10:30pm, with an 8pm concert performance featuring Broadway friends as well as Prospect stars! Battery Gardens is located inside New York City's Battery Park (opposite 17 State Street)

The 2011 Muny Season kicked off this week with the Muny premiere of LEGALLY BLONDE (June 20 - 26). Next, the Cole Porter favorite KISS ME, KATE (June 27 - July 3) will grace the stage. Following will be the Muny and St. Louis premiere of Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID (July 6 - 14), opening Wednesday, and featuring 2 extra performances! Tapping its way across the Muny stage next will be SINGIN' IN THE RAIN (July 18 - 24). Complete casting for KISS ME, KATE has been announced!

The MUNY's production of Legally Blonde The Musical opened June 20 and runs through June 26. Marc Bruni and Rusty Mowery are recreating the original Broadway direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell. Lauren Ashley Zakrin stars as Elle Woods, with Matthew Hydzik starring as as Warner Huntington III, Sara Sheperd as Vivienne Kensington, D. B. Bonds as Emmett Forrest, Ken Land as Professor Callahan, Lisa Howard as Paulette, Tiffany Engen as Serena, Taylor Louderman as Margot, K. B. Hart as Pilar, and Nikki Snelson as Brooke Wyndham. Anything Goes stars two time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster as 'Reno Sweeney' and Tony and Academy Award winner Joel Grey as 'Moonface Martin.' Anything Goes is directed & choreographed by Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall.

Seventy opera coaches, vocalists, and musicians from across the globe will present two weeks of performances and masterclasses in Blacksburg as part of the Vocal Arts and Music Festival at Virginia Tech.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT), concludes its 2011 Nutmeg Summer Series with My Fair Lady, running July 7 - 17 in the Harriett S. Jorgensen Theatre (lower Jorgensen Auditorium) on the UConn Storrs campus. CRT is delighted to have soap opera legend Eileen Fulton, who portrayed Lisa Miller Grimaldi on As the World Turns for almost 50 years, starring as Mrs. Higgins in My Fair Lady.

MICHAEL FEINSTEIN, the platinum-selling vocalist and pianist, will release We Dreamed These Days, his new CD recorded with the Carmel Symphony Orchestra, on June 21. The disc, released through DuckHole Records, is available on iTunes, Amazon.com and in stores.

The stunningly beautiful, versatile and award-winning vocalist Jennifer Sheehan has just finished a highly successful run of her critically acclaimed cabaret show at the Metropolitan Room in New York, performing for sold-out audiences. She made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2010, performing as a special guest of Michael Feinstein. She won the first-ever Noël Coward Foundation Competition Award last year, and was previously a recipient of The Mabel Mercer Foundation's Julie Wilson Award. At The Colony Hotel's Royal Room, Ms. Sheehan will be performing her latest cabaret show, You Made Me Love You: Celebrating 100 Years of the Great American Songbook.
