Michael Feinstein's AMERICAN SONGBOOK returns for a second season with three new episodes that take viewers on a musical journey across America and through time. This season the acclaimed musician and five-time Grammy®-nominated vocalist goes broader and deeper in his ongoing quest to celebrate and preserve classic 20th century popular song.

BroadwayWorld.com has learned details about a recent reading of the Guthrie Theatre's upcoming production of ROMAN HOLIDAY in Minneapolis. Starring in the reading, directed by John Miller-Stephany were Laura Osnes as Princess Ann and John Behlmann as Joe Bradley. They rest of the reading cast featured many of the area's top local talent. We're told that the reading went quite well, and that the song choices, which of course include some of Porter's biggest hits like 'Easy to Love,' 'Begin the Beguine,' 'Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye' and 'Riding High' also included many rarely heard gems that 'fit perfectly into the story.' Also in attendance for the staged reading were book writer Paul Blake and other members of the creative team.

Festival Stage of Winston-Salem continues its second season with a revival of the Off-Broadway hit musical "Oil City Symphony," playing Jan. 27-Feb. 19 at the Hanesbrands Theatre in downtown Winston-Salem.

Anything Goes star Colin Donnell begins a leave of absence from the show today, January 24, to perform in Merrily We Roll Along at Encores! Bill English will assume the role of "Billy Crocker" tonight thru Sunday, February 19th. Colin Donnell will return to the show on Tuesday, February 21st.

Roundabout Theatre Company just announced that Julie Halston (The Divine Sister) will assume the role of "Evangeline Harcourt" on Tuesday, January 17th & Robert Petkoff (Ragtime) will assume the role of "Lord Evelyn Oakleigh" on Friday, January 13th.

Producer Bradshaw Smith passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 after suffering a sudden stroke. Born on April 14, 1954 in Derby Connecticut, he arrived in New York in the mid-70's and immediately immersed himself in the world of cabaret. He was acclaimed for his groundbreaking cabaret performances, none more popular than his long running Cole Porter Revue at Don't Tell Mama. His cabaret awards include a Backstage Bistro in 1985. In 1987 he received the first MAC Award for Best Male Vocalist.
