High Concept Laboratories NFP (HCL), a Chicago-based arts service organization and artist incubator, today announced its Fall 2018 Open House Artist Showcase, taking place Thursday, Oct. 25 from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. at Constellation. The biannual event welcomes the public to enjoy drinks, food and special performances from artists participating in HCL's Sponsored Artist Program (SAP), sharing emergent work across music, dance, and participatory art forms.

The biannual art party invites people of all ages to enjoy drinks, appetizers and special performances from HCL's Sponsored Artists sharing works-in-progress across music, dance, installations and multimedia art forms.

Visceral Dance Chicago will continue its season with a presentation of  SPRINGFIVE on April 7, 2018 at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Millennium Park, the second mainstage Chicago performance of the company's fifth year. It will include Artistic Director, Nick Pupillo's two original works; Impetere (2013), which introduced the company's strong technique and athleticism and Senza Di Te (2013), a romantic pas des deux revived this time with live music by cellist, Desire Miller.  The first half of the program will end with a signature piece, Changes (2014), Monica Cervantes named by Dance Magazine as one of "25 to Watch" for 2013.  Changes is an exploration of fast paced relationships in our modern day. It imbeds snapshots and vignettes from daily life within driving and abstract ensemble movement.

In her new role, which builds on her two years with HCL, Howard will be responsible for providing creative strategy, program planning, and implementation of HCL's vision for artist experimentation and discovery across its portfolio of programs and services.

The Chicago Philharmonic, Visceral Dance Chicago, and awardwinning choreographer Nick Pupillo will unite on March 5, 2017, at Harris Theater to tell the story of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's 'The Dream of a Ridiculous Man.'

On Saturday, November 5, the arts service organization High Concept Labs (HCL) celebrates its Sponsored Artists in the biannual HCL Open House at Mana Contemporary Chicago from 7:30 to 11:30 PM. The open warehouse art party will include works-in-progress, performances, installations, music, and film screenings by artists from the organization's past and present. Light bites, specialty drinks, and much more await partygoers.

25th-Visceral Dance Chicago will begin its fourth season offerings with a Fall engagement at the Harris Theater in Millennium Park. This will include world premieres 'Atlas' by Artistic Director Nick Pupillo, and a new commission by LA-based choreographer Erica Sobol. Pupillo's 'Atlas' revolves around 'the weight of the heavens upon one's shoulders,' inspired by humanity's passionate needs. Set to music by The Turin String Quartet, the premiere explores the responsibility and expectation placed upon each and every individual, and the beauty inherent in striving for what is important to us.
