Soho Rep has announced casting and an official opening date for the world premiere of Lucas Hnath's play A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney.

Seduction and power, desire and sex are themes of David Ives' dark comedy Venus in Fur, receiving its Philadelphia premiere at Philadelphia Theatre Company tonight, May 24-June 23 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). Directed by Kip Fagan, the two-person cast features Mark Alhadeff and Jenni Putney.

The Riverdale Rising Stars will present the first public performances of the new musical revue, MID-LIFE 2! (The Crisis Continues). Written by brothers Bob and Jim Walton, the show will be presented as a staged reading starring Broadway guest performers tonight, Wednesday, May 22, and tomorrow night, Thursday, May 23 at 7:30pm.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) will present The Drowsy Chaperone, starring Pat Sajak as the Man in the Chair, as the first of its three-show Summer Nutmeg Summer Series, June 6 - 15 in the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre, Storrs.

Steppenwolf for Young Adults (SYA) has announced its 2013/14 season: William Golding's Lord of the Flies, adapted for the stage by Nigel Williams, directed by The Hypocrites Artistic Director Halena Kays; and the Chicago premiere of Leveling Up by Deborah Zoe Laufer, directed by Steppenwolf for Young Adults (SYA) Artistic and Educational Director Hallie Gordon. Tickets to William Golding's Lord of the Flies are on sale now.

Bay Street Theatre begins the 2013 Mainstage Season with Lend Me a Tenor (May 28 - June 23). This hilarious Ken Ludwig comedy, under the direction of Don Stephenson, includes Judy Blazer, Scott Cote, Betsy DiLellio, Donna English, Nancy Johnston, Noah Plomgren, Steve Rosen and Roland Rusinek as its hilarious cast.

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, presents the world premiere production of Muckrakers, a new play by Zayd Dohrn, directed by Giovanna Sardelli (BSC's The North Pool and Lord of the Flies). Muckrakers begins previews Thursday, June 13, opens Wednesday, June 19 and will run through Saturday, July 6 at the St. Germain Stage, at the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center, 36 Linden Street, Pittsfield.

La MaMa, in association with Crossing Jamaica Avenue, presents the New York Premiere of the acclaimed Deadly She-Wolf Assassin at Armageddon!, featuring original music and a concept by Fred Ho, co-written by Fred Ho and Ruth Margraff, directed by Sonoko Kawahara, with martial arts choreography by Emmanuel Brown (Broadway's Spiderman) and Japanese sword fighting choreography by Yoshi Amao. The show runs now through June 2, 2013 at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre, located at 66 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue & the Bowery. The show opens tonight, May 18 opening at 7:30pm. Theatre Communications Group (TCG) is pleased to announce the publication of Sarah Ruhl'sChekhov's Three Sisters & Woolf's Orlando: Two Renderings for the Stage which includes an introduction by the author. The two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist (The Clean House; In the Next Room, or the vibrator play) offers two new dramatic renderings for the stage. Ruhl's version of Three Sisters was commissioned by, and premiered in 2009 at, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, and Orlando was commissioned by, and premiered in 1998 at, the Piven Theatre Workshop, before receiving its NYC premiere in 2010 at Classic Stage Company.

Atlantic Theater Company welcomes Olivier and two time Tony Award winning playwright John Guare, who will make his Off Broadway acting debut in the world premiere production of his new play 3 KINDS OF EXILE, directed by Atlantic artistic director Neil Pepe, featuring Atlantic ensemble members Peter Maloney and David Pittu and guest artists Alison Cimmet, Jeffrey Kuhn, Jacquelyn Landgraf, Martin Moran, Kate Rigg, Omar Sangare and Timothy Splain.

The Muny announced principal casting for the sixth show of its fantastic 95th Season, Disney and Cameron Mackinstosh's Mary Poppins the Musical, directed by Gary Griffin and choreographed by Alex Sanchez. Mary Poppins the Musical is sponsored by Ameren.

After its workshop production at the York Theatre in NYC in Nov. 2011, Chance - A Musical Play about Love, Risk & Getting it Right -will be having the its world premiere staging at The Alcove Theatre in SF. July 5 -28, 2013.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will launch its 51st Season with J.M. Synge's classic The Playboy of the Western World. Performances begin May 29th and continue through June 23rd at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Ave. (at Lancaster Road) in Madison. Berkshire Playwrights Lab will present the Berkshire Playwrights Lab Sixth Season Multi-Media Gala Celebration on Friday, June 7 at 7:30pm and staged readings of new plays on Wednesdays, July 10, July 24, August 7, and August 21 at 7:30pm at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center (14 Castle Street, Great Barrington, Mass.). The company will also present its first full workshop production, Anna Ziegler's Life Science, June 19 through June 30 (press opening June 21), Wednesdays through Saturdays at8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm, with the exception of the Saturday, June 22 performance, which will begin at 9:30pm at Bard College at Simon's Rock Daniel Arts Center (84 Alford Road, Great Barrington, Mass.).

Honeysuckle Weeks, Charity Wakefield and Alec Newman will star in Melanie Marnich's These Shining Lives, set to kick off the first season at the Park Theatre in Finsbury Park. Loveday Ingram will direct the show from tonight, May 8, with designs by Tim Shortall. The show runs through June 9, 2013.

Long Wharf Theatre concludes its 2012-13 season with Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play Clybourne Park, by Bruce Norris, and directed by Associate Artistic Director Eric Ting. The play will take place on The Claire Tow Stage in the C. Newton Schenck III Mainstage from tonight, May 8, 2013 through June 2, 2013.
