Bay Street Theatre presents THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP, written by Charles Ludlam and directed by Kenneth Elliott, as the second production in its 2013 summer Mainstage season following the hysterical comedy, LEND ME A TENOR playing through June 23. Playwright/Actor Lori Fischer's latest work, The Memory of Damage, will have a private industry reading today, June 7, 2013 at 3pm at The Goldberg Theatre at N.Y.U. (721 Broadway, 7th Floor). Alexander Gemignani (John Doyle's Sweeney Todd, Les Miserables), Jeffry Denman (White Christmas, John Doyle's Passion), and Michael Countryman (Wit) star. Gabriel Barre (Amazing Grace, Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party) directs.

The York Theatre Company and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series kicks off the summer with Janet Brenner co-producing Fiction In Photographs, an original musical conceived and directed by Randy Redd, with Book by Dan Elish and Music & Lyrics by Dan Mills. With music direction by Adam Podd, the five-member cast will feature Cole Burden, Van Hughes, David Larsen, Lauren Pritchard and Ali Stroker. The By-Invitation-Only, one performance presentation is set for Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. (The reading will not be held at The York Theatre Company.)

Berkshire Theatre Group presents James Goldman's The Lion in Winter at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage in Stockbridge opening on June 29 at 8pm. Previews begin June 25 at 8pm and closing is on July 13 at 8pm.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) will present The Drowsy Chaperone, starring Pat Sajak as the Man in the Chair, as the first of its three-show Summer Nutmeg Summer Series, tonight, June 6 - 15 in the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre, Storrs.

Beginning in July 2013, the Alley Theatre will produce Agatha Christie's The Hollow during its popular ExxonMobil Summer Chills series. Under the direction of Gregory Boyd, the Alley's resident company of actors will bring to life the colorful cast of characters in Agatha Christie's The Hollow.

First, beginning Monday, June 10, stage and screen veteran Paul C. Vogt makes his CHICAGO debut in the role of Roxie's all-but-invisible husband, 'Mister Cellophane' Amos Hart. Then on Tuesday, June 18, CHICAGO welcomes Drama Desk nominee Alexander Gemignani in the role of 'that silver-tongued Prince of the Courtroom' Billy Flynn.

The 5th Avenue Theatre has announced complete casting for Hairspray in Concert, featuring some of Seattle's favorite musical theatre stars and the powerful voices of the 250-member Seattle Men's Chorus. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Hairspray's 2002 Broadway debut, this unique concert event will play for six very special performances of glorious and irreverent John Waters-inspired wackiness (Friday-Sunday, June 20-23). In 2002, Hairspray was The 5th Avenue Theatre's first world premiere musical to head for Broadway where it won the 2003 Tony Award for Best Musical and launched The 5th's unprecedented track record for sending new works to New York. Now the smash hit musical comes home, as audiences have never seen it before.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will launch its 51st Season with J.M. Synge's classic The Playboy of the Western World. Performances began on May 29th and continue through June 23rd at the F.M. WaterTower Theatre presents Black Tie, running tonight, May 31 - June 23, 2013 at the Addison Theatre Centre on the Main Stage. The cast includes Stan Graner as Curtis, John S. Davies as Curtis' Father, Marcia Carroll as Mimi, Katherine Bourne as Elsie, Jordon Brodess as Teddy and Jake Buchanan understudying the role of Teddy.

Hangar Theatre kicks off its 2013 season on June 13th with Neil Simon's irresistible comedy Last of the Red Hot Lovers, which runs through June 29. Featuring a stellar cast including three Broadway favorites, this seminal work will be directed by Hangar Associate Artistic Director Jesse Bush. Last of the Red Hot Lovers had its original Broadway run from 1969-1971 and received four Tony nominations, including for Best Play. The Hangar production features the talents of Jordan Gelber (Broadway's Avenue Q, All My Sons, Elf) as Barney Cashman, Jennifer Cody (Shrek, Urinetown) as Elaine Navazio, Leenya Rideout (Company, War Horse, Cabaret) as Jeannette Fisher, and Natalie Walker as Bobbi Michele.

Brave Spirits Theatre has announced its fourth production, William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The production will run beginning June 12 at the Atlas Performing Arts Center, 1333 H Street, NE, Washington, D.C.
