Comedy Dynamics announced today it has acquired William J. Stribling and Russ Nickel's award-winning comedy film BEAR WITH US out of Park City, Utah.

Ventura County audiences will get the first look at a new comedy for grown ups by Disney Channel show runner Marc Warren (Even Stevens, Full House). Joel Zwick (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) directs four performances of The Furniture, a dark comedy about the ways we hurt the ones we love, April 21 – April 23 at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts in Thousand Oaks.

The holidays are a special time in many American households, with the gathering of families, the giving of gifts and considerable time spent at home.

The first official trailer for the upcoming indie comedy Bear with Us has been released on Vimeo via director William Stribling's account. Starring Christy Carlson Romano (Emmy-nominated star of Disney's Kim Possible and Even Stevens), Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story, 30 Rock, Glee, Love is Strange, United 93, Behind the Candelabra), and Mark Jude Sullivan (star of the upcoming YouTube series Sing It!), Bear with marks Stribling's debut as a writer/director.  Check out a first look below!

Today in 1998, Parade opened at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre, where it ran for 85 performances. Parade is a musical with a book by Alfred Uhry and music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown. The production was directed by Harold Prince and starred Brent Carver as Leo Frank, Carolee Carmello as Lucille Frank, and Christy Carlson Romano as Mary Phagan. The musical won Tony Awards for best book and best score (out of nine nominations) and six Drama Desk Awards. The show has enjoyed a U.S. national tour and numerous professional and amateur productions in both the U.S. and abroad.

A private screening was held last Saturday in Los Angeles of the upcoming independent feature film BEAR WITH US, which stars Christy Carlson Romano (Even Stevens, Kim Possible), Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story: Hotel, 30 Rock, Glee), and Mark Jude Sullivan (YouTube's Sing It!). Co-Producers Juliana Hansen and Jonathan White will present a one night only benefit performance, ONE STARRY NIGHT: Hollywood and Broadway Come Together to Fight ALS, on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 8pm, hosted by The Pasadena Playhouse. The evening will also include a silent auction and VIP post-show meet-and-greet. The reading takes place in midtown today July 1, at 2pm.
