According to The Hollywood Reporter, a 'knowledgeable source' has revealed that funnyman Stephen Colbert will make a cameo appearance in Peter Jackson's upcoming HOBBIT trilogy. The 'Colbert Report' host is a known J.R.R. Tolkien and Lord of the Rings fan who teased the possibility of a cameo in a recent interview with Playboy magazine.

TheOneRing.net reports that New Zealand musician Neil Finn will provide the ending credits song for the highly anticipated film THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY. Finn is best known as the lead singer and guitar player for the band Crowded House.

On the final Sunday in September, I visited The Country Playhouse and got a backstage glimpse into the undertakings on their main stage for FRANKENSTEIN. The set are incomplete, but coming along nicely. The cast has been rehearsing hard, and everything is being put through the paces to ensure that the show is nothing short of a success. I got the chance to speak with Phil Nichols, who is directing the show in addition to designing the FX make-up, Louis Crespo, starring as Victor Frankenstein, and Melissa Nichols who is designing the sets and choreographing the massive and complex set changes.

Deadline.com reports that THE HOBBIT director Peter Jackson confirms that the saga will be split into three individual films, with the final chapter being released in the summer of 2014.

On January 26th Toronto was abuzz with excitement as film and stage star Daniel Radcliffe arrived in the city for the first time ever, to promote his upcoming film The Woman in Black.
