La Jolla Playhouse announces a collaboration with the acclaimed theatre group Ping Chong + Company to develop and present South of The 8, a brand-new, community-engaged piece, created with and performed by a group individuals living in neighborhoods south of the I-8. Scripted by Sara Zatz and Daniela Rivera and directed by Sara Zatz, South of The 8 will have three public presentations on Friday, March 31 at 7:30pm and Saturday, April 1 at 2:30pm and 7:30pm at the City Heights Performance Annex (3795 Fairmount Avenue). MTI Acquires Licensing Rights for COME FROM AWAY

The new Broadway musical COME FROM AWAY has announced that a limited number of $38 general rush tickets (including the $2 facility fee) will be available at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre box office (236 West 45th Street) when it opens for that day's performance(s). Limited to two tickets per person, tickets are subject to availability. Cash and major credit cards are accepted.

This fall Lincoln Center Theater, in association with The Araca Group, will produce Pulitzer Prize winner Ayad Akhtar's new play JUNK, directed by Doug Hughes. The production will begin previews Thursday, September 14 and open on Thursday, October 12 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).
