This month, the hit Off-Broadway comedy MISS ABIGAIL'S GUIDE TO DATING, MATING, AND MARRIAGE! celebrates its first anniversary as it welcomes its newest leading lady, Christine Pedi. Pedi is set to begin performances in the title role on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Downstairs Cabaret Theatre at Sofia's (221 West 46th Street, next to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in Times Square).

SIMPLY STREISAND, a celebration of Ms. Barbra Streisand, her legendary career and the music she made famous, will continue at The Laurie Beechman Theatre for one additional performance, following four critically acclaimed previous performances. SIMPLY STREISAND will continue on Wednesday, November 2 @ 7pm

At the 5 p.m. performance on Saturday, October 29, 2011, the hit Off-Broadway comedy MISS ABIGAIL'S GUIDE TO DATING, MATING, AND MARRIAGE! will include a cameo appearance from Ramona Singer, currently starring in Bravo TV's hit show 'The Real Housewives of New York.'

Special guests: Harvey Evans (Broadway legend and performer of both stage and film productions of West Side Story), Christine Pedi (currently of NEWSical The Musical and SiriusXM radio host), Misha Berson (author of Something's Coming, Something Good: West Side Story and the American Imagination), Barry Monush (author of West Side Story: Music on Film), and special Broadway performers TBA.

Yesterday, October 13, Bill Cosby, Chita Rivera and Mark Nadler led the benefit for ART START, an organization that operates with the mission of providing underprivileged children of New York with confidence, creativity and hope through the arts. The volunteers of ART START visit shelters all over the city armed with paintbrushes, mics and instruments - and with them, an opportunity to change a young person's life. 'Dynamos,' Carol Linnea Johnson, Corinne Melançon & Stacia Fernandez. Also attending will be some of LPTW 30th Anniversary Leading Ladies: Ruby Dee, Eve Ensler, Rosemary Harris, LaChanze, Elizabeth McCann, Estelle Parsons, Chita Rivera & Fran Weissler.
