Abrons Arts Center and Barbara Busackino have set the opening night for the highly anticipated NYC return of Arias with a Twist for Sunday, September 18 at Abrons Arts Center (466 Grand Street).

This bigger-than-life cabinet of curiosities was created by seductive songstress Joey Arias, who stars, and Basil Twist, who directs and designs.

The Night of a Thousand Gowns celebrating the LGBT community - the colorful cross-dressing segment of that community -took place on Saturday, March 26 in New York City. In its twenty-five year history, the Court has donated over a million dollars to worthy LGBT, HIV/AIDS and youth enrichment related causes. This year the Night of a Thousand Gowns expects 1,000 attendees to raise important funds for the Ali Forney Center and the Trevor Project.

GLAAD Media Award recipients were announced in 25 of this year's 32 media categories at the 22nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards presented nationally by RÖKK Vodka and locally by American Airlines and Prudential at the Marriott Marquis Times Square in New York on Saturday night. Additional awards will be presented in Los Angeles on April 10 at the Westin Bonaventure, and in San Francisco on May 14 at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis.

Doris Eaton Travis, the one-time Ziegfeld Follies star (and last surviving Ziegfeld girl), who was still kicking at the age of 106 at this year's Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS Easter Bonnnet competition on April 26-27, has passed away this morning.
