The first installation of the Contemporary Dance Series, curated by Tiffany Rea-Fisher (which runs Fridays from June 22-July 20 at 6pm) kicked-off with a strong start on the debut evening with performances from Harlem School of the Arts, AThomasProject, Eryc Taylor Dance and Graham 2.

The American Dance Festival (ADF) presents Obie, 'Bessie,' and Alpert award-winning choreographer Mark Dendy and director/designer Stephen Donovan's latest work Elvis Everywhere at New York Live Arts on May 10-12 at 7:30pm. 2018 marks Dendy's 35th year as an innovative choreographer on the downtown scene in New York City.

Today AJ Lambert, granddaughter of Frank Sinatra and daughter of Nancy Sinatra, debuted a new video for “You and Your Sister.” AJ Lambert's style and interpretations of both standards and modern music alike is truly her own, as displayed on this classic Chris Bell (Big Star) single. In the clip, directed by Boshra AlSaadi, AJ trails the oblivious object of her desire throughout the East Village, Chinatown and onto the NYC Ferry which carries him to the outer boroughs and out of her sights. The video was shot one sunny afternoon using an old iPhone. AJ explains her relationship with the song: “I've had this in my head since I was a teenager and had a whole different understanding of it back then. I mainly knew the version by This Mortal Coil with Kim Deal singing.”

Admission to individual SPARK events April 6-8 is now available online at pittsburghCLO.org/SPARK. For a small donation to Pittsburgh CLO's Audience Development and Education programs, members of the public are invited to peek behind the scenes of a musical in the making as 10 writing teams from across the country converge in Pittsburgh to showcase their work through a series of public presentations featuring local and national actors. We've just wrapped our incredible weeklong tour of the state of Yucatan, Mexico, with meetings, workshops, rehearsals, performances and a press conference. This was Eryc Taylor Dance's third tour of the Yucatan, and second year performing at the grand Teatro Jose Peon Contreras in Merida in the International Dance Festival Avant Garde.

In a multi-purpose give back to the people of Mexico, Eryc Taylor Dance (ETD) will return to the Mexican state of Yucat n from November 14 through November 20 with free, open to the public concerts, workshops for professional dancers, and Movement Expression Workshops for young victims of violence, mistreatment and abuse. The ETD tour, in partnership with Umbral Danza Contempor nea, will visit two cities, Chochol and M rida, and conclude with performances on Nov. 18 and 19 at the International Dance Festival Avant Garde at Teatro Jos Pe n Contreras in M rida, Yucat n's capital.
