Broadway Records President Van Dean, SiriusXM Radio Host Seth Rudetsky and Producer James Wesley launched the charitable initiative Broadway for Orlando with an all-star roster of theater artists recording the benefit single 'What the World Needs Now is Love,' at Avatar Studios. Created to honor the victims and those wounded in the Orlando shooting massacre at Pulse nightclub and aid the surrounding community, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the song will benefit the LGBT Center of Central Florida. Broadway Records, Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley announce a fundraising single to benefit LGBT Center of Central Florida.

This year, the group honored Jenna Segal (celebrated film, television and Broadway producer), Martha Plimpton (Emmy Award winning actress & activist), and Trudie Styler (actress, producer, environmentalist and UNICEF ambassador) at the event, which was hosted by Lisa Lampanelli.

Chita Rivera, fresh from her appearance on The Tony Awards Sunday, presented her old-friend Sound Designer Abe Jacob  the Lifetime Achievement Award.  They've known each other for more than 40 years since the original Broadway production of CHICAGO in 1975. Check out photos below!
