Stevie Van Zandt - musician, producer, songwriter, director, actor, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and founding member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Bandv- has joined the all-star lineup at Chita Rivera's landmark concert CHITA: NOWADAYS at Carnegie Hall on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 8:00 PM.

Tudo E Jazz - Um Tributo Musical a Kander & Ebb (And the World Goes 'Round - the Songs of Kander & Ebb) debuts at Sao Paulo stage. The show, which brings together renowned names in the cast, is a tribute to the great musicals of the duo John Kander & Fred Ebb, successful Broadway composers, responsible for creating Chicago, Cabaret, Kiss of the Spider Woman, and the great musical hit 'New York, New York', immortalized in the voices of Liza Minelli and Frank Sinatra.

Maestro Luke Frazier and The American Pops Orchestra - Washington, DC's innovative hometown orchestra - will open their all-star 2016-2017 season with I'll Be Seeing You: A World War II Love Story on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11 at 8:00 PM.

Tickets are now on sale for Desert Ensemble Theatre's 3nd Annual DETC Season Opening Gala. The Friday, November 18 event features a pre-show reception at 6pm followed by a 7pm performance of Boys' Night Out, a revue of eclectic songs from musical theatre, cabaret, and popular music. The event takes place at the Pearl McManus Theater in the Palm Springs Woman's Club at 314 S. Cahuilla Road. The Kit Kat Club is returning to Sydney in all its decadence for a new Australian revival of CABARET at Hayes Theatre Co. from 9 January 2017 starring Paul Capsis as The Emcee.  CABARET will then play the Athenaeum Theatre, Melbourne from 27 April 2017.

Not only was he juggling the album release of Disaster! on the day we met for this interview in a (noisy from construction) park on the Upper West Side, but at the same time, spearheading a dance remix video to Broadway for Orlando's 'What The World Needs Now Is Love.' 'We are filming a whole video with the ladies who did Beyonce's 'Single Ladies,' Seth explained. 'We are hoping that raises more money and more awareness.'

Encompass New Opera Theatre and Gala Honorary Chairs Zoe Caldwell, Sheldon Harnick, John Kander, and Maury Yeston will honor legendary songwriting team LYNN AHRENS and STEPHEN FLAHERTY and playwright TERRENCE MCNALLY (Ragtime, Chita Rivera: A Dancer's Life, A Man of No Importance, and their upcoming Broadway musical, Anastasia) with a star-studded musical salute on Sunday, October 23.

Maestro LUKE FRAZIER and THE AMERICAN POPS ORCHESTRA - Washington, DC's innovative hometown orchestra - will launch the 12:15 PM lunchtime concert series "THIRD THURSDAYS" to highlight the unique musical personalities and special talents of the members of their acclaimed ensemble at Live! at 10th and G (First Congregational, UCC Washington - 945 G Street NW, Washington, DC 20001). Admission to the 30 minute events are free, but a free-will offering will benefit the DC Youth Orchestra Program, where Mr. Frazier is an Artist-in-Residence.

Chita refers to herself as an eternal gypsy, talks about how dancing is acting without words, and that listening is the best way to learn the craft. With ten Tony nominations and two wins, and with consummate wisdom and skill, Chita shares that many of the disciplines that made her a star, she learned from dancing in the chorus. When the universe opens a door, Chita Rivera always peeks in.
