Tom Hanks won consecutive Oscars in 1993 and 1994 for his leading performances in 'Philadelphia' and 'Forrest Gump.' He also has been nominated for his leading roles in 'Big,' 'Saving Private Ryan' and 'Cast Away.' Hanks recently lent his voice to the character Woody in the Best Picture nominee 'Toy Story 3.

Gala to benefit The Harvey Milk School, late of ABC's smash-hit comedy UGLY BETTY, the charmingly candid and overwhelmingly talented Michael Urie! Raised in Florida and a graduate of Ole Miss (aka The University of Mississippi) and now based in New York City, actor Britt Hancock (you can find his photograph next to the dictionary entry for 'versatility') calls Tennessee 'home,' thanks to his long tenure at Crossville's Cumberland County Playhouse, where last year he starred in, among other shows, Camelot, Brigadoon and She Loves Me. In fact, he claimed the BroadwayWorld Nashville theater award for outstanding actor in a musical (professional) for his stellar performance in Brigadoon.

On Monday, May 2, 2011 The New York Pops' marks its 28th birthday with Celebrate Hope, a grand gala evening celebrating the legacy of late actor and comedian Bob Hope and honoring decades of support by Interpublic Group. The event begins at 7:00 PM with a concert at Carnegie Hall featuring a special lineup of concert artists - including Brooke Shields, Cheyenne Jackson, Christine Ebersole, Kelli O'Hara, Maurice Hines, Cartier Williams and special guest Angela Lansbury - under the baton of Music Director Steven Reineke. The New York Pops will also be joined on stage by the singers of The Camp Broadway Kids and the West Point Glee Club. Following the concert, a black tie dinner and dance will be held at the luxurious Plaza Hotel.

The final epsiode of the second season of FOX's hit series GLEE will air on Tuesday, May 24, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

According to the Toronto Star, stage and screen star Jane Krakowski has been added to the line-up of Toronto's BlackCreek Music Festival. The event wil be held at Rexall Centre on the campus of York University on June 4.
