CHAPLIN is a new musical depicting the life of film icon Charlie Chaplin, with music and lyrics by Christopher Curtis and book by three-time Tony Award-winner Thomas Meehan and Christopher Curtis. The internationally acclaimed musical sensation PINK MARTINI will bring their unique and highly praised vocal stylings to The McCallum Theatre for a 'one night only' concert tonight, September 8 at 8:00 pm. Drawing inspiration from music from all over the world - crossing genres of classical, jazz and old-fashioned pop - Pink Martini's diverse repertoire is a blend influenced by Cole Porter and Duke Ellington, Tito Puente and Xavier Cugat, as well as Argentine tango, Brazilian samba, Italian folk, Asian and romantic Hollywood musicals of the 1940s and '50s.

Osip Theatre presents Celebrity Night at Cafe Red, written and directed by Lily Bevan, at Trafalgar Studios 2 from 20 September - 6 October 2012. Celebrity Night at Cafe Red is being co-produced by Osip Theatre and Lucy Pattison, with assistant direction from Hamish MacDougall, lighting design by Christopher Nairne, sound design by Emma Laxton, set design by Giuseppe Belli and costume design by Emma Belli. The press night is on 21 September at 7pm.

Chicago's St. Augustine College has announced that it is hosting a gala evening with a reception, dinner and dancing, on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at which a 'historic structures report/preservation and reuse plan' will be unveiled for its historic Essanay Studios buildings. These two structures, at 1333 and 1345 W. Argyle Street in Chicago, housed an early, influential motion picture studio from 1907-1917, and represent an important part of the history of the film industry in the United States.

The Alden's Classics of the Silent Screen series returns for its second year by popular demand from the growing fan base for "silents."
