N'Kenge (Motown: The Musical, Sondheim on Sondheim), returns to Queens Library in a Free Concert as a featured soloist performing excerpts from the Broadway-Bound Akhenaten: The Musical. Selections will range from her leading role as Queen Ti to the role of Nefertiti. N'Kenge will be joined by Seph Stanek along with a team of ensemble members under the direction of Charles Czarnecki.

Libertine Idol Productions and Charles Czarnecki are presenting the world premiere of Erik Johannes von Ransom's GRINDR The Opera in concert on May 2nd and 3rd at The West End Cabaret, with direction by Rachel Klein. GRINDR is an unauthorized musical parody of the eponymous gay hook-up app that has sweepingly altered the course of modern gay intimacy.

Broadway divas lend their voices for the VOICELESS CD, released July 15, 2013, as an anthem song for the welfare of suffering animals. 'Voiceless' anthem song was written for animal protection by animal loving advocates Ann Crumb, Judy McLane and Olga Merediz.

'Master Class,' Terrence McNally's play about the life of opera diva Maria Callas, seems tailor-made to continue the partnership between Gulfshore Playhouse and the Naples Philharmonic. Produced by Gulfshore, performed in the Daniels Pavilion, the show combines a larger-than-life character, smart writing, lush music and operatic arias.

Gulfshore Playhouse ends their seventh season with the musical play Master Class, in partnership with the Philharmonic Center for the Arts, playing April 5 through 21, with a preview performance April 4.

When a cabaret show is promoted as containing 'an eclectic mix of style and sound,' I generally don't expect to hear 8, count 'em 8, Rodgers and Hart classics, but who am I to question Christian Hoff's good taste in music?  Though never officially announced, Hoff was to star in a proposed Broadway revival of Pal Joey, and though that project has been placed on hold, his one-night gig at The Metropolitan Room this past Monday night, titled 'Exiled,' often seemed like a preview of how he'd play the title role.

Best known for his Tony-awarding winning performance as Tommy DeVito in the hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys, Christian Hoff premiered his sold-out solo concert show at the Metropolitan Room for one night on Monday, January 14 at 9:30PM.
