The best of Broadway will be performing FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park 2016' - a lunchtime series that continued this week, July 28 on the Bryant Park Stage. Hosted by LITE FM's on-air personalities, the 16th annual presentation of open-air, On- and Off- Broadway lunch hour performances will run through Thursday, August 11.

On July 10, Broadway Beyond Productions, the producers who brought you BROADWAY AT THE W, will debut a new series in New York at the W in Times Square.

WAITRESS is officially serving it up on Broadway! Earlier this week, the company of the new musical took their first bows at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. The world premiere, Broadway-bound musicalWaitress, based on the motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly, with a book by Jessie Nelson, music & lyrics by Sara Bareilles, direction by Diane Paulus, and choreography by Chase Brock, wraps up this weekend at American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University. The show won't open in New York until the Spring, but fans need not wait that long for a taste of what's to come. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Bareilles will release an album of songs from the show, titled What's Inside: Songs From Waitress, this fall through Epic Records. The single 'She Used to Be Mine' will be released digitally tomorrow, September 24.

WAITRESS, the promising new musical adaptation of the 2007 indie rom-com that starred Kerri Russell and Nathan Fillion, may need a bit more shaking and baking before it's ready to contend for Broadway's Blue Ribbon. However, singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, screenwriter-turned-librettist Jessie Nelson, director Diane Paulus and star Jessie Mueller have stirred enough tasty ingredients into their bittersweet concoction to whet the audience's appetite for a second serving.
