Last night, Wednesday 15 June, saw the Opening Night of Disney's new West End musical Aladdin at the Prince Edward Theatre, London. Footage is also available to download featuring the cast's curtain call bows, celebrity arrivals on the carpet and interviews with the Aladdin cast and creative team including Dean John Wilson (Aladdin), Trevor Dion Nicholas (Genie) and Jade Ewen (Jasmine), composer Alan Menken and director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw at the post-show party at the National Gallery.

Aladdin will have its official opening night at the Prince Edward Theatre tonight, June 15. Disney's new West End musical began preview performances on Friday 27 May and tickets for the spectacular production are now on sale for performances up to and including 11 February 2017. Sonia Friedman Productions is delighted to announce further casting for the long-awaited UK premiere of Dreamgirls which will have preview performances at the Savoy Theatre from 19 November and Opening Night on Wednesday 14 December 2016.

According to The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye, Liisi LaFontaine and stage vet Ibinabo Jack will join Amber Riley in the upcoming West End production of DREAM GIRLS. LaFontaine will take on the role of Deena Jones, with Jack playing Lorrell Robinson. As previously announced, Riley has been tapped to star as Effie White.

Aladdin, Disney's hit Broadway musical, recently released a new music video featuring Adam Jacobs (Aladdin) performing a one-man version of "One Jump Ahead" from the show. In the arrangement made exclusively for Jacobs' debut solo album, "Right Where I Belong - Songs of Alan Menken," Jacobs voices multiple characters, each playfully brought to life in the vibrant new video.

Producer Kevin McCollum is pleased to announce Something Rotten!, the ten-time Tony-Award nominated smash hit musical comedy, directed and choreographed by Tony Award® winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Aladdin), with music and lyrics by Grammy Award® winner Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award® nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell, will launch a national tour at the Boston Opera House January 17-29, 2017, following a preview period at Proctors in Schenectady, NY. The New York production recently celebrated its one-year anniversary on Broadway and continues performances at the St. James Theatre.

Brian d'Arcy James gave his final performance in his Tony nominated role of 'Nick Bottom' in Broadway's SOMETHING ROTTEN on Sunday, May 29th.
