Broadway Records President Van Dean, SiriusXM Radio Host Seth Rudetsky and Producer James Wesley launched the charitable initiative Broadway for Orlando with an all-star roster of theater artists recording the benefit single 'What the World Needs Now is Love,' at Avatar Studios. Created to honor the victims and those wounded in the Orlando shooting massacre at Pulse nightclub and aid the surrounding community, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the song will benefit the LGBT Center of Central Florida. Producer Joey Parnes has announced that Bright Star, the new musical from 2016 Tony Award nominees Steve Martin and Edie Brickell,will play its final Broadway performance on Sunday, June 26, after 30 preview and 109 regular performances.

As predicted, HAMILTON was the big winner of the night, taking home a whopping eleven awards, including the coveted Best Musical.
