59E59 Theaters welcomes Libra Theater Company with TOUCH, written by Toni Press-Coffman and directed by Nathaniel Shaw. TOUCH began performances on August 18 for a limited engagement through Sunday, September 4. Press opening is tonight, August 24 at 7:30 PM.

This winter, Alexander Greenfield - Associate Director of the acclaimed Broadway production of Outside Mullingar and The City of Conversation at Lincoln Center - directs Libra Theater Company's production of Tom Diggs' new play KIND SOULS, performing January 16 - February 1 at Theatre 54. The cast includes Lindsey Kyler (The Seagull at New York Classical Theatre) and John Clarence Stewart (Choir Boy at Manhattan Theatre Club / The Alliance Theatre). Opening is slated for January 18.

Directed by both Peaks, performances began at The Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Aves.) on Saturday, February 1. The Center for Contemporary Opera (CCO) is proud to pay tribute to composer Hans Werner Henze, who died in 2012 at the age of 86, with performances of his El Cimarron (The Runaway Slave), featuring baritone Eric McKeever in the title role. Not performed in New York since 1986, El Cimarron has music direction by Sara Jobin, and stage direction by Eugenia Arsenis, singled out as stage director by Miguel Barnet, author of the book upon which the opera is based. Performances are January 16 & 17, 7:30 PM, at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Theater, Broadway & 95th Street, NYC (entrance on 95th Street, West of Broadway)

A contemporary riff on an Andean myth, 'A Girl Without Wings' by Jason Williamson, directed by Kathleen Amshoff, is an object theater piece telling the story of a lonely condor who falls in love with a spirited shepherd girl. The play is based on a folktale of the Quechua speaking communities of Ecuador and Peru. IATI Theater and Dramatic Adventure Theatre will present the piece today, October 4 to 27, 2013 as the first production in IATI's newly-renovated facility at 64 East Fourth Street. The story is a fable for all ages and is recommended for ages 8 to 108. This play is presented with support from the Jim Henson Foundation.

The Management (MilkMilkLemonade by Joshua Conkel, Cut by Crystal Skillman) team up with The Bushwick Starr to bring The House of Von Macramé to gory, glamorous life. Performances run January 23 - February 9, Wednesdays - Saturdays at 8pm. Preview performance: tonight, January 22nd at 8pm.
