Journey into the heart and soul of one of the world's great works of art when Cooperstown hosts the regional premiere of Following the Ninth: In the Footsteps of Beethoven's Last Symphony (Kerry Candaele, director, 2013) on Sunday, May 18 at 6:30 pm. The film is an exploration of the worldwide cultural and political influence of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and the "Ode to Joy." Immediately following the film, there will be a live performance of "Ode to Joy" and a Q&A with Greg Mitchell, the film's co-producer.

Tony Award nominee Tom Wopat and GRAMMY Award-winning Broadway songwriter Stephen Schwartz are joining the festivities in Broadway at Moorland, the 14th annual summer concert and fireworks display at Moorland Farm in Far Hills, NJ, a partnership between New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) and Far Hills Race Meeting Association. Wopat (Annie Get Your Gun, A Catered Affair) will join previously announced Tony-nominated and Emmy Award-winner Liz Callaway, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, five-time MAC-winning cabaret star Scott Coulter, Jessica Hendy (Broadway's Cats and Aida), and Kelli Rabke (Broadway's LES MISERABLES and in the Broadway revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat). Due to a scheduling conflict, Brian Stokes Mitchell will no longer perform on the bill.

Jarrod Spector, currently playing legendary songwriter Barry Mann in the new Broadway hit Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, just offered an added performance of his acclaimed cabaret show, 'A Little Help From My Friends,' at 54 Below. This time, he got a little extra help from his friends, when the real Barry Mann joined him on stage as a special guest for part of the evening's performance.

The legendary Yankees slugger and chart-topping guitarist, Bernie Williams will return to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, June 8, as both a musician and award-winning athlete. After one of the most storied careers in baseball (which included four Gold-Glove awards, six American League pennants and an ALCS MVP award), Bernie Williams launched his second career as a jazz guitarist and didn't miss a beat. Having topped the contemporary jazz Billboard Chart with #1 singles, recorded albums with guests as varied as Bruce Springsteen and Jon Secada, and accepted an invitation to sit in with The Allman Brothers Band at their storied Beacon Theatre residencies, Williams instantly established himself as a formidable talent and hasn't slowed down since. An afternoon Celebrity Softball Game with Bernie and Friends in the ballpark adjacent to the Playhouse will be announced. Bernie takes the stage at 8 p.m. Piccolo Pizza & Jazzeria (24 Prospect St., Ridgefield) is offering a free glass of wine with dinner the night of the show when tickets/stubs are presented.
