 A group of former Chicago theatre artists have formed a new theatre company in Los Angeles dedicated to diversity and incusion. TheGrey Ensemble Theatre is comitted to presenting new, contemporary, and classic stories that represent the multicultural world we live in.Grey Ensemble Theatre launches its first production with the world premiere of f**k MY LIFE by Broadway World Award nominated playwright and Artistic Director Danny Bernardo (Mahal, Bailiwick Chicago) and directed by Carmen Aiello.

THE INSTIGATOR is in pre-production with GrantWorks and Moving Picture's Media Group, helmed by three-time Oscar winner Michael Minkler and Ray Ellingsen. The screenplay was written by Tom Porter and Maggie Grant, with Grant set to direct.

A revolution a decade in the making, Sundance Institute celebrates the 10th Anniversary of its New Frontier program with an exhibition of new work at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, including immersive cinematic works, virtual reality installations, an extensive lineup of documentary and narrative mobile VR experiences and an inside look at the innovations being developed at some of world's leading media research labs. 10th Anniversary exhibitions will also be presented with MoMA in New York City in April, and the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis as part of Northern Spark in June.

Tanna Frederick, award-winning actress of film and theater has produced a state of the art 360-degree Virtual Reality movie, Defrost, that pulls the viewer into an emotional immersive experience, unlike seeing a movie on the big screen. With the use of Samsung Gear VR goggles, Defrost is one of the first attempts in the industry to tell a narrative story with the 360-degree technology.  Frederick said, “Producing this project with the new technology is an attempt to create an emotional experience. The audience follows the first person point of view of Joan Garrison who wakes up after 30 years of being frozen for medical reasons. She feels trapped. She is just seeing life again for first time. We go on the journey through her awakening by following her perspective as she is being wheeled down the hallway.”

HBO Films' THE LEISURE CLASS, directed by Jason Mann, this season's “Project Greenlight” winner, debuts MONDAY, NOV. 2 (10:00-11:30 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO, the day after the season finale of “Project Greenlight” debuts, on Sunday, Nov. 1.

The writer, composer and stage director have all come to Michigan from L.A. to polish up the show and work with the Michigan cast on its Midwest premiere with performances tonight, September 26 through October 19. Freestyle Releasing and Freestyle Digital Media (FDM) announced today that they have acquired theatrical and all DVD/VOD rights to 108 STITCHES, the baseball comedy from writer/director David Rountree and co-writer Jake Katofsky. The film features Josh Blue ('Last Comic Standing' winner), Dat Phan ('Last Comic Standing' winner), Erin Cahill (POWER RANGERS), Larry Thomas ('Seinfeld's' Soup Nazi) and Bruce Davison (X-MEN), with a special appearance by baseball legend Roger Clemens. 108 STITCHES was co-written and produced by Jake Katofsky, with producers that also include Jeff Katofsky and J.P. At an upfront presentation held this morning at New York City's Sony Club, GSN, the multimedia company that offers original and classic game programming and competitive entertainment, announced the premiere date of the upcoming original series, IT TAKES A CHURCH. GSN also revealed an integration deal with ChristianMingle, the largest online community for Christian singles for the new series.
