Charles Busch and Julie Halston will host this year's Primary Stages 25th Anniversary Gala Benefit to be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel (109 East 42nd Street) on Monday, November 9, 2009. This year's 'Leading Ladies' Penny Fuller and Isabel Keating are set to perform and will be joined by Elysabeth Kleinhans, and celebrity guests Allison Janney, Marian Seldes and Elizabeth Wilson in helping Primary Stages celebrate their 25th Anniversary Season.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) kicks off its 2009/2010 Season with the World Premiere of THE RETRIBUTIONISTS, a new play by Daniel Goldfarb (Modern Orthodox, Adam Baum and the Jew Movie). The production will begin previews on Friday, August 21 with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, September 15 at 7PM. The limited engagement will run through Sunday, September 27 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

Bay Street Theatre kicks off the month of July with a bang as the legendary Betty Buckley returns for three performances of a new and critically acclaimed show 'Broadway By Request.' The 4th of July weekend fun begins on Friday, July 3 (Ms. Buckley's birthday concert) at 8pm, with additional shows on Saturday, July 4th at 5pm and 7pm. 'Broadway By Request' features songs and behind the scene stories from Buckley's many Broadway hits as requested by the audience.

Ms. Quinn uses rare archival footage culled from the National Archives to illustrate the story of one of the New Deal's boldest initiatives - The Federal Theatre Project.

For 3 consecutive Mondays beginning June 15 at The DR2 Theatre, WET will present its 2009 INKubator Summer Series featuring new plays by some of the most dynamic women creating theater today.

Eating Their Words, reinventing the concept of ?dinner theater? by wedding a seasoned chef with prominent playwrights for an integrated evening of new cuisine and new plays, announces its upcoming June 14th collaboration with Chef David Bouley. A culinary treat, a cultural fix, and a supper-club social, the events offer attendees the World Premiere of three new plays written explicitly for their evening, coupled with the inherent theatricality of a one-of-a-kind meal inspired by the writers' work. The Sunday, June 14th event will feature the company?s second collaboration with the acclaimed Striking Viking Story Pirates. For this family event Chef Bouley creates a menu inspired by plays written by kids, and performed by adults who wish they still were. This unique performance and Chef Bouley?s original menu will satiate all ages. Tickets are available through The Story Pirates? website at www.storypirates.org under the ?Tickets? link.
