59E59 Theaters will welcome KPS Productions in association with the Pleasance Theatre in Edinburgh to Brits Off Broadway with PLAYING WITH GROWN UPS by Hannah Patterson, directed by Hannah Eidinow. PLAYING WITH GROWN UPS begins performances on Tuesday, April 29 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 18.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre continues the second half of its season with Tribes, a sophisticated and moving family drama by celebrated British playwright Nina Raine. Her profound and powerful new play became an award-winning hit in London and New York. Now renowned director Jonathan Moscone brings it to Berkeley Rep this April for its Bay Area premiere. Tribes follows Billy, a young man who was born deaf into a loquacious and highly opinionated academic family who raised him to lip-read and integrate into the hearing world. When he meets Sylvia - raised by Deaf parents and going deaf herself - Billy decides it's time to speak on his own terms and to be heard. Playing out in words, sign language, and sometimes mesmerizing silence, this penetrating drama examines familial love, notions of belonging, and the intersections of communication. Tribes start previews Friday, April 11, opens on April 16, and closes on Sunday, May 11, 2014.

Traverse Theatre Company will be in New York this April, taking Fringe 2013 hits A Respectable Widow Takes to Vulgarity and Clean for a month-long run at 59E59 Theaters, marking New York's Scotland Week (3 - 10 April) as part of 59E59 Theaters' Brits Off Broadway season.

Sheffield Theatres has announced that its production of My Fair Lady has been voted Best Regional Production at this year's prestigious WhatsOnStage Awards.

The critically acclaimed Brits Off Broadway festival, host to the UK's most innovative and provocative theater in New York City, returns for its 9th season of New York premieres of new British theater. Sheffield Theatres has been awarded the prestigious title of Regional Theatre of the Year 2014 at The Stage Awards today. This is the second time that Sheffield Theatres has been awarded the title and the first time that any theatre has won the award twice.

Nicholas Thompson, will be stepping down from his post as artistic director as of Spring 2014. Nicholas has been with the Old Red Lion Theatre for over three years in the roles of both producer and artistic director. He will be pursuing work as a freelance director, producer and general manager. He will be continuing as an artistic associate with the Old Red Lion.

Women of Twilight is directed by Jonathan Rigby and designed by Olivia Knight. It forms part of the White Bear's Lost Classics strand, which has previously unearthed John Osborne's early plays The Devil Inside Him and Personal Enemy (which transferred to the 'Brits Off Broadway' festival in New York).
