Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release THE SMURFS 2 on Blu-ray 3D & Blu-ray Combo packs, DVD and Digital just in time for the holidays on December 3rd.

Frequent theatrical headliner Laila Robins is set for a featured role on the new HBO drama series THE MONEY, joining recently announced stars Patrick Kennedy, Dominique McElligott and Brendan Gleeson.

Deadline reports that Broadway veteran Nathan Lane will star alongside Brendan Gleeson in HBO's drama pilot THE MONEY, written by David Milch and directed by Justin Chadwick.

Production is now underway in the UK on the action adventure “Heart of the Sea.” Oscar winner Ron Howard (“A Beautiful Mind”) directs from a script by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver

THE MONEY is a familial drama which centers on the 'wealth and corruption among the super elite, focusing on American mogul and patriarch James Castman (Gleeson), who wields power and influence to expand his media empire and control his family.'

The Smurfs are making a tiny impression with THE SMURFS 2's blue first week in theaters. After five days, the movie's total domestic gross is sitting at $27.8 million, according to Deadline.com. This is far behind the $35.6 million the 2011 Smurfs pic drew in its first three days.

E! Online reports that Britney Spears and Katy Perry collaborated on Spears' SMURFS 2 song 'Ooh La La!', which will run over the credits of the Smurfs sequel. The song was written in part by Bonnie McKee, who often works with Perry.
