GLEE Adds 3rd New York City Tour Date at Radio City, 5/28

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the cast of the FOX series hit GLEE is kicking off its live tour in May, with dates slated for Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix and New York. Today, it has been revealed that a third New York City performance date at New York City's Radio City Music Hall on Friday, May 28 at 8pm and Saturday, May 29 at 3pm and 8pm.
GLEE Music: Volume 3 Peaks at #1 on Billboard's Hot 200 Chart

The latest GLEE sountrack, GLEE Music: Volume 3 'Showstoppers' scored number 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart in its opening week. Released on May 18, the disc sold 136,000 copies in its opening week. This achievement marks the first number 1 full-length album for the gleeks. The mini disc, The Power of Madonna, also peaked at number 1, seling 98,000 copies. The first two full length albums debuted at number 4 and 3 on the charts, respectively.

It has arrived, to the joy of Gleeks and Monsters alike - the long-awaited Lady Gaga week on GLEE. ‘Theatricality' opens with Tina and Mr. Schuester in the principal's office; Tina is told she must change her goth look in order to keep the school safe (and to allay Principal Figgin's fear of vampires). This, paired with the news that Vocal Adrenaline is attempting to tackle Lady Gaga in their repertoire, leads Will to give his own Gaga assignment about theatricality in performance.
GLEE Gets Early Pickup for Third Season

In a rare movie for a show whose second season has not yet begun production, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that GLEE has been picked up by Fox for a third season. The show has been doing very well in the ratings, averaging 9.4 million viewers a week and is the number 1 new scripted series among adults 18-49 and adults 18-34, two of the most coveted demographics.
