The Barrow Street Theatre will present an eclectic mix of comedy, improv, 3D shadow puppetry, and master storytelling all in their Fall season, which also marks the theatre's 10th anniversary. Now, Billy Hayes comes to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with his one-man show RIDING THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS with BILLY HAYES. Live on stage, Hayes will bring his sensational true story of arrest and escape from a Turkish jail to life at new Fringe venue Upstairs@Le Monde from Sunday 3 August 2014.

Following previews at Edinburgh Festival 2013 and a current eight-week off-Broadway run at St. Luke's Theater, New York, Billy Hayes' one-man show comes to Soho Theatre this April for its London premiere.

At the St. Luke's Theatre (until March 23), Billy Hayes relives his full range of emotions and psychological traumas in this taut, tense, and terrific re-telling of his escape from a Turkish prison, first revealed in his 1977 book Midnight Express, and then in 1978 through the Oliver Stone film version.

The Blank Theatre has announced two benefit performances of Riding the Midnight Express, written and performed by Billy Hayes and directed byJohn Gould Rubin (with assistant director Zoe Aja Moore). All proceeds will benefit The Blank Theatre and its programs. The performances will take place on Mondays, tonight, August 5 and August 12 at The Blank's 2nd Stage Theatre in Hollywood. The curtain will rise at 8pm for both shows.
