Ken Davenport of Davenport Theatrical Enterprises presents a reading of the new play Schooled, written by Lisa Lewis and directed by Jules Ochoa, as part of the Davenport Developmental Reading Series. Schooled stars Tony nominee Peter Friedman (Playwrights Horizon's Circle Mirror Transformation), Sarah Steele (Lincoln Center Theatre/LCT3's Slowgirl), Harry Zittel (Lincoln Center Theatre/LCT3's All-American) and Zoe Winters (Lincoln Center Theatre/LCT3's 4000 Miles). The reading will take place on Monday, December 3rd at 8pm at The Davenport Studios, located at 250 West 49th Street, Suite 304, in New York City.

Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Beth Henley's 100-proof comedy THE MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST, starring film and television actress Amber Tamblyn and directed by Tony Award winner Judith Ivey, will bow on Broadway in the spring of 2013. THE MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST marks Ms. Tamblyn's Broadway debut and Ms. Ivey's Broadway debut as director, and is produced by HOP Theatricals. Broadway theater and dates to be announced.

Palm Beach Dramaworks, which mounted its first productions of works by Edward Albee in 2002, renews its exploration of his remarkable career with two important presentations. A Delicate Balance, the first of his three Pulitzer Prize-winning plays, opens on December 7 and runs through January 6. Following that on January 8 will be the Southeastern premiere of The Stages of Edward Albee, the acclaimed new documentary that examines the playwright's life and work, with three showings (2PM, 5PM and 8PM). All events are at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street).

NBC's THE VOICE will decisively declare a winner when the intense vocal competition series concludes its third season with a live two-hour finale on Tuesday, December 18 (9-11 p.m. ET). The finale also will be preceded with a live, 90-minute final performance episode of 'The Voice' on Monday, December 17 (8-9:30 p.m.ET) -- which will be followed by a sneak preview of NBC's new comedy series 1600 PENN; (9:30-10 p.m. ET).

NBC today announced changes to its 2013 primetime mid-season schedule highlighted by the premieres of three new series, including comedy '1600 Penn,' from one of the architects of 'Modern Family'; an intriguing drama 'Deception' (formerly 'Infamous'); and producer Eva Longoria's big reality relationship show 'Ready for Love.' In addition, several of the network's biggest hits will return, including 'Smash' (February 5), which this season will feature The second season of SMASH will include a growing list of high-profile guest stars, including Nikki Blonsky, Jesse L. Martin, Jeremy Jordan, Sean Hayes and Jennifer Hudson.
