Discovery Family will debut its first original series, FROM WAGS TO RICHES WITH BILL BERLONI, tonight, August 6 at 9/8c.

The 17th annual Broadway Barks fundraiser - the star-studded dog and cat adoption event to benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore - was held July 11 in Shubert Alley. BROADWAY BARKS announces their 17th annual star-studded dog and cat adoption event to benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, this event features celebrities from the hottest shows on Broadway.  The event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will take place on Saturday, July 11 in Shubert Alley (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The festivities begin at 3:00 p.m. where you meet all the adoptable dogs and cats; celebrity presentations of adoptable pets will take place between 5:00-6:30 p.m. This year's event will be co-hosted by Bernadette Peters and Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon, HBO's 'Girls'). The event is free and open to the public.

When the title of the musical is followed by 'based on the book/film...', there tends to be one of two reactions- excitement (LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, MARY POPPINS, RAGTIME) or dread (SISTER ACT, GHOST, CARRIE). And while the Broadway-bound BECAUSE OF WINN DIXIE, now playing through May 10th at the Delaware Theatre Company, does not quite reach the level of LA CAGE or RAGTIME, it's hard to resist the feel-good charm bubbling off the stage.

Four time Grammy Award winner Renee Fleming just made her Broadway debut alongside Tony Award nominee Douglas Sills, two-time Emmy Award nominee Anna Chlumsky, Jerry O'Connell, Blake Hammond and Scott Robertson in Living on Love by two-time Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro, based on the play Peccadillo by Garson Kanin, and directed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall. Living on Love opened last night, April 20, 2015 at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). BroadwayWorld brings you photos from inside the after party below!

Delaware Theatre Company opened the new musical, BECAUSE OF WINN-DIXIE, on April 8th,with Book and Lyrics by Nell Benjamin (Broadway's LEGALLY BLONDE: the musical), Music by Duncan Sheik (Broadway's SPRING AWAKENING), and directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Broadway's RAGTIME). It has now extended its run at DTC through May 10th.

Bill Berloni, the recipient of a 2011 Tony Award Honor for Excellence in Theatre, will head to Discovery Family Channel this August to star in a new reality TV series.

A new Broadway-bound musical based on the award-winning children's novel by Kate DiCamillo, BECAUSE OF WINN DIXIE is poised to become the first Broadway musical starring a live dog as the main character! A gentle, warm and enthralling story about the intimate friendship between a young girl and her dog, WINN DIXIE shows how the smallest act of kindness can ripple into a celebration of community.
