The trademark comedic shenanigans of Saturday night are moving to Sunday, June 5! MTV today announced that Jason Sudeikis - leading comedic actor and 'Saturday Night Live' regular - will host the '2011 MTV Movie Awards' LIVE on Sunday, June 5, from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

The Ogunquit Playhouse is thrilled to announce that star of film, television and stage, the renowned Michelle Lee will headline in the East Coast Premiere of the new Roger Bean musical Summer of Love, on stage June 22 through July 16! Michele Lee has starred on Broadway, in feature and television films and recorded and performed with legends of the entertainment industry.

Tony-nominated actress Edie Falco, currently starring in the Broadway revival of THE HOUSE OF BLUE LEAVES, will be featured tonight on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" on Channel 78 in NYC at 9:00 p.m. EST (check local listings).

MTV today announced that Academy Award(R)-winning actress Reese Witherspoon will be honored with the 'MTV Generation Award' during the '2011 MTV Movie Awards' for her exceptional contributions to the film industry and for charming generations of the MTV audience throughout her career. The ceremony will be hosted by Kathleen Turner (High).

Starry Night Entertainment (White People, Mistakes Were Made) inassociation with The Bridge Theatre Company presents DualMinds Productions' U.S. Premiere of ANY NIGHT. Winner of 5 Toronto Now Awards (Outstanding Production, New Play, Direction, Performances, & Design), this romantic thriller is written and performed by Daniel Arnold & Medina Hahn and directed by Ron Jenkins (Bash'd). Previews begin June 2 at The LABA Theatre at The 14th Street Y with opening night slated for Wednesday, June 8.

Buffalo native, Broadway actor and film star Stephen McKinley Henderson will be the guest of honor at a Saturday, April 30, 2011 special event hosted by Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP). The April 30th event, An Evening with Stephen McKinley Henderson, will feature an intimate look into Henderson's life and work. Henderson also will attend the RLTP Annual Spring Gala on Saturday, May 14, 2011.

The homage will be centered on Ratner's filmmaking career and early days growing up in Miami Beach. 'Shooter Series: Volume 1' will be used as a visual guide, highlighting clips from his lesser known works including home movies, student films, music videos and commercials. Features directed by Ratner include, among others, the 'Rush Hour' franchise, 'Red Dragon,' and 'X-Men: The Last Stand.' Soon to be released by Universal Pictures will be his latest directorial effort, 'Tower Heist,' starring Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller.

According to Deadline.com, Malin Akerman has joined the cast of the highly anticipated big screen adaptation of ROCK OF AGES. Akerman will play Constance, 'a journalist who intends to write an expose on decadent rocker Stacee Jaxx (Tom Cruise).' Director Adam Shankan previously offered the role to both ANne Hathaway and Amy Adams.

The Tony nominations were revealed this morning and they have much of the theatre world celebrating. In a season as rich as this past theatrical season though, there are only so many spots for nominees and some very talented shows and performers were not nominated. Below are the eligible performers and shows who were not nominatined in the major categories.

Tyne Daly, Tom Wopat, Gregg Edelman, Aaron Lazar, Tony DeSare, Michele Lee and Jamie Barton have joined the roster of guest artists to perform at The New York Pops' 28th Birthday Gala, Celebrate Hope, on May 2, 2011. A grand gala evening celebrating the legacy of late actor and comedian Bob Hope and honoring decades of support by Interpublic Group, the event begins at 7:00 PM with a concert at Carnegie Hall featuring a special lineup of concert artists, followed by a black tie dinner and dance held at the luxurious Plaza Hotel.

This weekend, WABC-TV aired a half-hour special on the best of the new Broadway season, including ANYTHING GOES, ARCADIA, THE BOOK OF MORMON, GHETTO KLOWN, THE HOUSE OF BLUE LEAVES, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, JERUSALEM, THE MOTHER WITH THE HAT, THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL, THAT CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON and WONDERLAND. The special will aired Saturday, April 30 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM and is now available online.
